Wonders of Life

Does anyone know if Wonders of Life (WoL) has been opened this summer??? I remember they were going to open it at times, to take the heat off of other attractions at busy times. We drove over from St. Petes a few weeks ago to basically ride Soarin' (marvelous imho). I asked at the Land, since the place was absolutely packed, and was told that WoL wasn't open at that time.

It's being used as a convention center right now.

LOL... I imagine they are not using them at the moment. From what I remember hearing, the old exercise areas were removed, so I am guessing it is full of chairs now or something. Who knows? Maybe they are meeting in the Making of Me attraction.

Yeah it's sad walking by there and seeing it not really being used. I remember going when that whole building was packed.

Re: Wonders of Life

It truly is sad.

I know that Disney makes a special announcement when it will be open. WDWMagic and AllEars usually post something special when it will be open.

If there has to be an EPCOT pavillion or attraction closed, I wish they would close The Universe of Energy. That attraction bores me to tears. I love the Wonders of Life.

WoL has many major attractions, which are the only things when the pavillion seasonally opens. 1st was Body Wars(my personal favorite)... just think Star Tours. They actually run on the exact same set of motions believe it or not(talk about cost cutting). There was also Cranium Command which was a large theater style show where you moved through several theaters. The last of the major attractions was the Making of Me(self-explanitory) which was I believe a movie. WoL is a very colorful pavillion inside and had many different types excercise equipment (mainly bikes). The pavillion was one of the best places in Epcot to get a healthy bite to eat. I have a picture of the inside....

ROFL. I went into have a bite at Pure & Simple a few years ago and instead of waffles and fruit, they had burgers and beer!! I looked at the menu and grumbled something about NOT so Pure & Simple. I got a chuckle from a guy who told me he's worked there for years and remembers how great the old stuff was.
