Hey, speaking of this topic, did any of you read the article by amymouse in the latest Allears newsletter? It's very funny! It called "The Hidden Costs of An Annual Pass".

Check it out!

Re: Any spur of the moment trips?

This was the shortest notice i ever got. One Thursday afternoon, my sister told me that her friend was gonna do the Keys to the Kingdom tour and asked me if i wanted to go but i had to answer right away because she needed to reserve. I couldn't miss out on this. The next tuesday we wook up a 3 am went to WDW (we live about 4 hours away) and came back late that night. Thats preety "spur of the moment" to me.

Re: Any spur of the moment trips?

Oh that's great. When are you coming back? Is it just for a long weekend. And how come you can get reservations in the middle of summer without booking months and months in advance? I didn't think that that was possible.

Re: Any spur of the moment trips?

That's GREAT Babets!!! We've decided not to go...I think I'm coming down with something and my mother already has a birthday "surprise" planned for DS (a trip to the Florida Caverns, which I know he'll love!) So I'll just have to wait my 30-odd days to see Mickey!

Re: Any spur of the moment trips?

I just recently bought the Premium Annual Pass, and I live about a hour and a 1/2 away. Sometimes I will go early Saturday, be there when they open & leave after a couple of hours. My friend decided last minute to take her son for his birthday on a tuesday. Called off from work and was at the gate by 9am. It does help you get through a week, and to your next overnight, longer stay!

Re: Any spur of the moment trips?

Kari has a wonderful time telling me of these spur of the moment trips. We're also four hours away and the only trip we ever plan for is Christmas, but always have a seasonal pass ready and waiting. We've done the most trips this year, with four already, and 2 or more to go. We're actually planning to go to the halloween party and the christmas party. But it's hard planning when they don't have the special rates up yet. The most spur of the moment was in May for the flower and garden festival. She knew I wanted to go to it, but I'm on "blackout" till I have a job. But since our passes would be expiering and it was between both our birthdays, disney got the best of her.
