Anyone going last week of September?

We are taking our first disney trip the last week of September. I am a little concerned because it is after all hurricane season. Also, how hot is it down in Florida in the last part of September? I am from Buffalo, NY and our summers are not way as hot as Florida's.

I will be there the last week of September, knock on wood. I wouldn't worry about hurricanes much. I think there have been 4 hurricanes to hit WDW since the opening, and three of them were last year.

September is still hot, but you start losing the humidity. By the last week, you are still getting an average high of 89. Very warm, but really, it isn't too bad.

I can't wait- it is driving me nuts. I am the most excited in my family. My 12 year old son is kind of crazy about this but the 16 year old boy and my DH are like okay- whatever. Come on 38 days more baby!!!!!!!!!!! I can stand 89 degrees I guess. My husband is the one bugging out about hurricanes. We fly into Atlanta and realize our flight may be delayed because of bad weather because of a storm that hits. I keep telling him that Orlando is in the middle of the state and it isn't on the coast- thank god.

I went in September 2 years ago, and the weather was PERFECT. I'm from Toronto, so only about a 2 hour drive from you, and our weather is similar to yours in Buffalo. Its been ghastly humid and hot here this summer (as I am sure it has been in Buffalo too), so I bet the change in temperature won't end up being too dramatic a month from now, in Florida :-) Have fun!
I love Buffalo by the way... we always fly out of there because its way cheaper than Toronto.

We went last year in September and we were in between hurricanes.Were going back and will be there from September 23-30.I can't wait.

Most of our trips are in Sept. but in the 1st half. The weather is beautiful (usually) and the crowds are very small. Perfect.

I will be there Sept 28 to Oct 3. Last year we postponed our Labor Day trip because of a hurricane, and ended up going 3 weeks later...when yet another hurricane came thru, lol. I do still think hurricanes hitting WDW is unlikely, so we will try again this year :)

Good Morning Everyone,

I just read this post. There are alot of us going the last part of September. Where is everyone staying? We are staying at the All Star Sports Resort. Budgeting is a issue this time. Next time I want to stay at the Polynesian.

We will be there Sept 30-Oct 2nd. Short weekend.

I wouldnt worry too much about the hurricane thing. It isnt something you can predict so far ahead or control. So make plans, and adjust accordingly as needed. Disney is pretty good about rescheduling reservations due to illness or hurricanes.

I just booked my vacation for the Sept 28- Oct 4. THis was a concern of ours but we also have the difficult winters on the Eastern coast to factor in where we get too much snow. Crossing our fingers that all will be fine!

I'll be going down the last week in September with my wife. In fact, we'll be there 9/25 through 10/2. Hurricane season is in full swing right now and even though there's kind of a lull, I'm still keeping a cautious eye every day to see what's developing.

Polynesian for my wife and I. It's where we honeymooned 2 years ago and it's good enough for another stay for us. 36 days to go!
