Monsters Inc
They really need to make a monsters inc ride in MGM. That movie cured my son of the fear of monsters. It would be great for kids.

Re: Monsters Inc
Oh man/woman I second that motion. That would just be a blast. That reminds me another good ride would be the one from The Emperor's new groove. When what's her face? Yzma, and the guy of the month- Kronk- go down to the lab. I love that. We have the game and playing that part with that ride is too much fun. I can imagin what it would be like sitting in a vehicle and actually doing it.
Back to your Monster's inc. ride-----fantastic idea!!!

Re: Monsters Inc
I met a couple of Imagineers at last year's Mousefest and they said (jokingly)the perfect plan would be to combine the WDW laundry with a "Ride of the Doors". They said, honestly, the laundry facilities are bigger than anything you could imagine.

Re: Monsters Inc
you know what would be jsut as cool as a monster's inc. ride; a monster's inc. play area! like they have for honey i shrunk the kids. the play area can be set up like the scare floor with a bunch of door and kids can go in and try to do their best scare. i think that would be so cute!

Re: Monsters Inc
I would love to see a Monsters Inc. dark ride back by LMA. It would really bring the crowds back to an area which is lacking rides right now. As for Honey I Shrunk the Kids playset, turn it into A Bug's Life play area. It would have the same basic theme, it would just be more recognizable to younger kids.

Re: Monsters Inc
Actually, I've been hoping that Disney would build a Harry Housend's (sp?) with animatronic monsters for the band, but also have it be a character meal. True, the characters wouldn't necessarily be able to sign their autographs, not unless they put a permenant stamper in the hands of monsters like Mike, Sully, and Celia, and then somehow rigged a trigger inside the costume for the person inside to pull/push/whatever and have it stamp their autograph. People like Roz or the Yeti or Mary or Waternoose had hands, so they could actually write theirs.
Just my suggestion. But I do LOVE the idea of a door ride! That would be COOL! I also love the idea of a Yzma's lab ride, where you get to scream "WRONG LEVER!" as you fall. You know, make it like all those "cliffhanger" rides, but almost like a rollercoaster, too. You zoom around, and then, at the end, as you approach the door to the lab, the car drops straight down in a small freefall--like just a few stories or whatever. At the "bottom", the ride could curve around to slow your descent, etc. If you're near a Six Flags, they might have a ride that does something like this drop. In Dallas, Texas, it's called the Texas Cliffhanger (if it's still there). You get in this cage thing, and go up several stories. Then, they push you out to where you're overlooking the place, and then the car literally free-falls down several stories. Eventually, the tracks curve you around to slow your descent. You "end" by laying on your back. To get you right-side up, the flip you upside down for a second, and then stand the car back up to where you're in a sitting position. GREAT FUN! Disney could do this with a Yzma ride... Back to Monster's Inc, though. The door ride would be AWESOME!!!!! Anyone heard what it will be like in DL? Haven't really taken the time to look/read, but still...
