Closing Time?
We all know the posted closing times for any Disney Park. We also know these aren't written in stone, it takes a while for a park to empty. Guests are encouraged to exit slowly, take their time, sit down and people watch for a while. Stores on Main Street, Mousegear, Hollywood Blvd and others stay open later to accomodate departing guests who forgot to pick up that Minnie mug for Joyce at work...
But at what point does Mickey politely tap you on the shoulder and say "Hey, it's late and I gotta work tomorrow, you don't have to go home but you can't stay here" I have two questions for everyone: How late past closing time have you managed to stay in the parks? How late were you able to board a ride (not counting E-ride nights) around closing time? Thanks,

Hey Jimbob. I do know that cast members arent allowed to turn anyone down for a ride up until the last second the parks stated close time. I know this becuase of a personal experience: One night at the magic kingdom me and my mom wanted to go on splash mountain. The park was suppose to close in like 15 minutes, unsure whether we would be allowed to ride, My mom approached the cast member and thats what she told us. So the rides gotta stay open all the way until the line is empty..which could take up to 2 hours with rides like the mountains! Its also said in burnbaums (sp?) that main street is suppose to stay open 30 minutes after the stated close time for the park. Im also cuirous to see how late some people have stayed in the parks!
Joe:)

closing time?
One time when we we at MK right at closing time, my son and his friend were in line for a ride. They were told that as long as they were IN line at closing time, they would still get to go on the ride. From then on, they would wait till closing time to ride their favorite before we left the park every night.

On a side note.......Dec 16th 1995 we were at the Magic Kingdom and they kept the park open an extra 2 hours because it was so crowded. |
