Expedition Everest

When is this supposed to open?
We are going down from Feb 10 thru Feb 19.
Hopefully there will be a soft opening of some sort.

I don't think they've published a specific opening date (however, March 2006 sticks in my head for some reason...), but I'd guess there's about a 75% chance that you'll be able to ride in February. I know the plan was for an early 2006 opening.

If you're going in February, there's definitely a good chance you might get a soft opening! I think "Spring 2006" was floating around as the official opening date, or maybe I'm just fabricating things...

Anyway, it was early 2006!

I was really hoping for a soft opening by December but I doubt it if the regular opening isn't until spring.

I am going next summer, so I hope it's all good to go then. I am really looking forward to this new attraction. Hope you later winter WDWgoers get a shot at the soft opening and come home and report to us immediately..lol

From what I've heard, Everest should have a soft opening late fall/early winter if all goes as planned. April 22, 2006 is the rumored opening date for Everest. That date makes sense as it would be the 8th anniversary of AK.

Hopefully everything will go as planned. I would really like to ride it when we are there in December.

cool....hopefully that is when I will be visiting again. I must check on allears about the ride.Personally still don't know much about it. Obviously a coaster of sorts...right?

I can't wait for this ride to open! I think it will end up being one of those "absolutely must-do" rides!

I got a brand new digicam yesterday, so the first place I tried it out on? Expedition Everest! I'll post my pics as soon as I get a chance. On them you'll find that I found a "Hidden Mickey" as well as the Fastpass sign is up already! See ya'll later this evening with the pics if I can get to another computer that can do it.
