Views on Kidcot?

When we visit in the end of September, now that we have AP's, we're gonna try to hit stuff we normally wouldn't do. Has anyone ever done the Kidcot stuff at Epcot? My toddlers enjoy crafty stuff, but don't know if most of it will be over their heads!!

I have to say, it made the Showcase at Epcot more interesting for my kids.

Re: Views on Kidcot?

Kidcot crafts are basically masks that involve alot of coloring and stickers. Your toddlers will eat it up!

Re: Views on Kidcot?

It is pretty neat. We have masks from every trip. If you get one of those passports, they will stamp it for you and write a little personalized note to your child in the passport as well. My boys, 8 & 4 this last visit, liked doing it.

Re: Views on Kidcot?

My kids enjoyed it. We got the passports, too. I wouldn't let the kids put the stamp in their book until we visited that country's attraction. We do the masks every trip.

Re: Views on Kidcot?

WElcome to DC. My DD has done the kidcot thing twice now. It's really for kids of all ages and I think your children would get a kick out of it. It's a great way for both the parents and the children to get the most out of touring the countries.

Re: Views on Kidcot?

I have always wondered if it was worth doing. We are going in three days and maybe we will try it!

Re: Views on Kidcot?

We went this last Dec. and my kids, 9 & 5 just loved it. They still get the passports out to read what the CM's wrote. The masks are really great to hang as artwork. Friends stop and look at them everytime they visit.

Don't pass up on this. The masks are free, but the passport books cost a little money, $5-$10 I think.

Re: Views on Kidcot?

I do wish they'd do something different than the paper masks though we had one that was creased from the suitcase, and the other one has gotten trodden on when it came unstapled from the stick. I think I may just do the autograph book thing next time, having the cast member sign a page with their name and country and some kind of greeting, then snap a picture of them and DD to go alongside it.

They did! When we were there in May they had necklaces (for free) with a card on it with holes in it. At each station there was a different thing to color and hang on the card/necklace! There were fish and sharks at the Living Seas, a venus fly trap at the food court(can't think of the name of it but it was the one where Soarin is) and more elsewhere. My DS-6 and DD-2 at the time, loved colroing them and adding them to their necklaces

Re: Views on Kidcot?

There were still the masks in the WS, the necklaces were something we got lucky and stumbled on while at the LS. I had not seen them before either, but the kids had fun with it:)
