how do I find out what rides are closed?

The main number's in Birnbaum to call for a ride refurbishment schedule, saying there's an automated message. I called last night -- no message! I've tried calling during the day, and been told something idiotic! (I forgot which ONE ride they said wasn't running that day, but it sure wasn't the Carousel of Progress, so come on!) HELP! I'm going the first week of Dec, and I can't seem to find out what rides (in all four parks -- don't care about the water parks) will be closed then. I heard something about Figment being down, and if that's true I think I'm going to run off and cry as I've been waiting since 1985 to see him again! :dazed

Hi Amneris - Welcome to Disney Central.

According to this website (link below), Journey Into Imagination with Figment at Epcot will be down Dec. 1 - Dec 7th. I am so so sorry. Maybe it's wrong?

Maybe if you call Disney's main number they can patch you through to someone that knows for sure..

anyone know what "seasonal" means??

Thanks guys! I guess Figment is going to remain just a figment of my imagination for awhile longer. :(

Does anyone know what "seasonal" means??? When I was there last December and in May the Carousel of Progress was closed. Is that just a clever way for them to pretend they haven't really closed it or what?

Well, that basically means that it is open when they feel like it, usually during extremely busy times of the year, such as Christmas or Spring Break. Same goes for Timekeeper. They were both open during the summer months for a while, and I expect them to reopen for Christmas.

Honestly, you can call and call and get all sorts of lists, but the best information will be asking at Guest Relations at whatever park you will be at for the day, because stuff can go down in the blink of an eye.

Not only does CoP open whenever it feels like it, keep your eyes open for Timekeeper also. I loved that attraction when I saw it for the first time in June. I'm glad I got it on video. Maybe I'll go watch it now!
