Pleasure Island for Kids??????
Hello All
With only a few days left, I am beginning to plan my days and was wondering if Pleasure Island was appropriate for kids between the ages of 4 and 13. Would they be bored? Are they allowed in? Is Pleasure Island a must see or can it be skipped? THanks for all the great advice. :)

4 and 13? Pleasure Island would be a definate must not see at night for these two ages. During the day your 13 year old may be intrested in some of the shops, but I'm sure your 4 year old would much rather be at Magic Kingdom.
For young adults and regular adults Pleasure Island is a great party spot. Just be aware that there is very little difference between PI and your local night clubs, other than Imagineers designed them. The Adventurers' club and the Comedy Warehouse are the only two places on PI that stand out as totally unique from your normal night clubs. Both are a must see for the adults in the party. By the way, I moved this over to Theme Parks becuase it's sure not a Resort, or a resturaunt. I guess Theme Park is the closest description that fits! :) It's a park of night clubs and they're all themed... right? ;)

Disneymom...unless you are the party type, Pleasure Island is probably not for you. It is an interesting place to walk around in the daytime. When you are walking from the Marketplace to the West Side, you can walk right through and see the shops and clubs.
Your kids will probably enjoy DisneyQuest more than Pleasure Island. If you and Disneydad want to check PI out, there are many 'clubs' for the kids at the Deluxe resorts. Maybe Disneymom and Disneydad can have some special alone time! In that case, I recommend the Comedy Warehouse. Hilarious funny! Only 4 more days! You must be so excited!

Ummm....No. I realize there is a need for more night time activities for children, but Pleasure island is not it. Not only is the Children's interest a distant third or seventh on the list for this attraction, the folks who participate, IMHO, don't want your children there. That may sound...gruff, but it is accurate.

There is a lot of drinking going on at night. Servers walk through the streets selling shooters that look like test tubes and jello-shots. Something you might not want your kids around.

Thanks all
I will not take my kids there. We are not big drinkers so I am not sure if we will make it there either. We have a 7 day ultimate park hopper and we will be very busy at the parks!!!!!:)

I've never had a drop of alcohol in my life, but I enjoyed Pleasure Island, especially the Adventurers' Club and Comedy Warehouse. I found the Adventurers' Club helarious while sober, I can't wait to go when I turn 21! ;)
