Princess dress
When we were last at Disney there were lots of kids in Pricess dresses and of course they were being sold all over disney. DH insisted that we NOT buy one for our daughter because she didn't really care so much at that point.
Of course we get back and now she is OBSESSED with the princesses. So I wanted to order one from her. But I can't seem to find the kind I really liked. Basically there seemed to be 2 levels (for lack of a better word) of the dresses. There were one's that were a little less money, but I thought that they weren't as good of quality. Then there were ones that I thought we close to $50 and were pretty quality. So I am trying o track them down online. When we were in MGM a sales person said we could call and order it. But I would rather get it online because then I can see it and make sure it is the one we want. Anyone have any tips where to find it. Thanks!!! Maura |

Re: Princess dress
I would check out www.disneydirect.com. They have quite a few choices. If it is not for halloween and just for dress-up, I would wait until after halloween, they usually go on sale then.
Good luck! Amy

Re: Princess dress
Unless you've got money to burn, check your local Walmart & Toys R Us. I've seen pretty decent princess dresses for 1/2 the cost that Disney sells them for.
Sure, you could argue about quality, but realistically how many times is she going to wear this dress? DD wore her Snow White dress at WDW and at Halloween. She puts it on every now and then, but it's not like it's a wear out and about outfit.

Re: Princess dress
well, now that they have Halloween costumes out you have an assortment of Princess dresses at disneydirect.com for sale. Most of these have the tulling in them that my dd says is too itchy....something to keep in mind. My daughter has been Princess obsessed since birth I say and our best Princess dress alternatives have been those pretty Princess nightgowns they sell for $25(somethimes you can find them for cheaper) at disneydirect or Disney stores(she wears them out all the time and loves them). They are still fancy without the extra stiffness that some of the more costume like dresses have. We have found them at places like Kohl's, JC Penney, Walmart, and Kmart on sale for cheap. Actually last year around this time Kohl's did a summer clearance and we bought 8 of those nightgowns for her and she has has quite a variety to chose from for under $50. We thought this was better as she likes to wear them so much we didn't want to stress about her getting a $50 dress dirty.
Good luck in the search...hope that helped a little! |

Re: Princess dress
Thanks everyone! I saw the ones on disney direct. But these were different than the ones that I saw in Disney world that i really loved. That's why i was hoping someone had another source. I was looking at the World of Disney store in NYC and it looks like they have them, but you can't buy on line.
Yeah I really need to get it soon because I want it for halloween. Ironically Oct is one of our biggest months. So far it looks like DD has 5 halloween parties. (mostly because she has cousins who have their birthdays in october) Maura |

Re: Princess dress
My DD is now 6 and she is still loves the princesses dresses. I've bought her the following:
Snow White @Costco Jasmine @Disneystore Minnie @MK Belle @Costco. I like the Costco costumes, they have a lot of detail, and are longer, so DD thinks she is the real princess. Also, the quality of the one bought in COstco are excellent.
