Any last minute tips!!
After a year of planning the day is almost here :D ! We are leaving to WDW at 7:10am this Friday (12/6) and I can hardly believe it!! We will be staying at ASMo from Dec. 6th -10th & AKL from Dec.10th-14th. I wanted to do the whole trip at AKL, but my son begged me to stay at ASMo, so I compromised. ASMo does look fun for kids!!
This will be our first trip & it'll only be my 2 kids and me. Does anyone have any last minute tips or any shows or attractions that are must do's. We go to Disneyland at least once a week, so I figure I can skip some of the shows and attractions that are the same. But I would like to see the difference between POC & Haunted Mansion at the 2 parks. Thanks in advance for any last minute help!! :) , Katherine |

I'm not sure how old your children are, but my son was and still is hungrey all the time. We stayed at all star movies, and had a great time, but the food prices (at all the parks) are out of this world. I was in shock when I had to pay 2.50 for a bottle of water. You might want to take snacks for them, if room allows. You may also want to take some little laudrey detergents with if you plan on doing wash. We went light with the cloths, so I did some laudrey there, and it cost 4.00 to wash, 4.00 to dry, and 2.00 for detergent and 2.00 for fabric softner. Make sure you purchase one of there mugs, it is approx. 12.00, but is well worth the price with all your free refills.
Have a great time at disney, and tell us all about it when you come home. Have a nice flight too.:) |

I visited Disneyland a few years ago and POC, HM, Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain are all different. The differences are not to be missed! You will have so fun comparing!
Not to be missed is Splash Mountain. So much fun! Don't get so caught up in the drop that you miss the show, and the story. One of the best attractions in the Magic Kingdom. You are visiting at a great time! The parks should not be busy at all. Enjoy the decorations, they are beautiful. Oh, and please don't eat the snow!

Remember to take every thing in while you are there. Capture those special moments with your kids and enjoy!!
By the way, did you call the front desk at All Stars Movies and request a special section. I've always called or faxed 3 days ahead of time my request. (Unless you have already paid extra for the "preferred section" which I believe is Fantasia) I personally would request Toy Story. It is really cool! Just sit back and soak it all in and enjoy it! Have a wonderful trip and we can't wait to hear all the details!

Thanks!!
Thanks everyone for the suggestions!!
I didn't mention my kids ages in the original post. My DD is almost 6 & my DS is 7. They both love thrill rides, so we will try to do all of the ones my daughter is tall enough too do. Louise- My son is a bottomless pit when we are at Disneyland so I'm used to paying obscene amounts of money to feed him. I read somewhere that Disneyland food prices are quite a bit more than WDW, so if this is true, I'm sure I won't be shocked :p ! I really do want to compare the differences between the rides & shows at Disneyland & WDW, but if I'm really pressed for time, I rather do some attractions that I've never experienced. Thanks again for the tips, and I'll post a report when I return. :) , Katherine |

My suggestions: Pirates of the Caribbean, Tiki Room & Splash Mountain in MK; Muppet Vision & Voyage of the Little Mermaid in MGM; & Tough to be a bug at AK. I agree, bring detergent because it's outrageously priced. If you forget to bring snacks (or often wake up from cookie cravings at 1 am, like I do) The Pantry at Downtown Disney does carry entemann products. But the best tip I can give you before you go, Have a great time.

My best advice to you is to bring soda or whatever you want to drink with you. I always bring a backpack with me to put 6-7 cans of soda every time I go. That is the only way to go,because who wants to pay 2.50 every time you want something to drink. Go up to any refreshment stand and they will be happy to give you a cup of ice.
