For Hidden Mickey fans

All my fellow Hidden Mickey seekers- run out to your local pet store and ask them if they have Mickey Mouse Platy fish. Last night at PetSmart while buying a fish tank for the kiddies we were watching the fish. (I do exciting things on Friday nights). Lo and behold- we came upon these orange fish with the classic mickey pattern right there on their back end connecting to their tail. ("caudal peduncle" from my ichthyology class). You have to see it to believe it. Needless to say, the people at PetSmart think that I am nuts for being so excited. It was like finding a Hidden Mickey at the parks!

It is a hidden mickey!!! That is so COOL. I can't let my DD see that or I'll have another fishy...we already have two that eat like horses.

Update on my new Mickey fish- I think it's pregnant! They are livebearers like guppies and mollies, so maybe I'll have a few more soon!

Darth- they are a little small for sashimi, fortunately! My husband would have the wasabi ready.

I've had several of these fish. They are livebearers, get a pregnant one and you will have a load of them in no time.

Not much there to eat darth they are mighty small.

This isn't about the fish, but although I have been to DW at least 15 times I have never slowed down enough to look for hidden Mickey's. I mentioned something to DH about them and he had never heard of them (he just trails along behind me when we go) I would like some easy ones to spot to start out with as he seemed quite interested.
