The CM I spoke to confirmed what the other posters said. All parks are scheduled to be open as of now. I explained I was in Ft Lauderdale and was considering changing our plans. He said disney is handling storm inquiries on an individual basis. I asked what the latest would be I could change my plans..as an example I said what if I got up friday morning and saw it would be horrible driving weather ...was it too late to change plans since we are to check in that afternoon. He said disney did not want to risk their guests lives by saying you dont come we are keeping your deposit. He said they would take the hurricane into consideration and either take the credit and apply it to another reservation or perhaps give you the deposit back. That was good news to me since we are probably going to change plans. We are thinking of either going Oct 28th, or applying the deposit to the Dec 2nd reservation and skipping an October trip. We decided to wait until tomorrow to make any changes. I just am not looking forward to horrible storms throughout the weekend at the parks with a 3 yr old. Rain I can take...but squalls of rain from the hurricane...no thank you.

Thanks for calling and letting us know the official word. I'm sure by tomorrow or Friday they will know for sure either way...

During last years storms we called and changed plans the day or the day before we were supposed to check in. They were very nice about it and helped us rebook for 3 weeks later with no extra charge. The only thing that was bad ....there was another storm 3 weeks later 2 days after we got there, lol.
