Extra Magic Hours
I noticed on one site that showed the Extra Magic Hours listed certain offerings for morning and evening. Does that mean those are the only rides available for the magic hours and everything else will be closed until official opening? Just wanting to get some clarification.

Re: Extra Magic Hours
That's correct. EMH only offers certain attractions. Depending on when you are going, evening EMH at MK can get more crowded than regular hours. On our last trip we used evening EMH once and then skipped it the rest of the week. Morning EMH is usually less crowded, but again, if you are going during "value" or off season, skip the park doing EMH and go to another one.
I believe www.allearsnet.com has a complete listing of attractions open during EMH.

Re: Extra Magic Hours
Oh, I should also mention that Epcot recently added more restaraunts to their evening EMH to handle crowds better.

Re: Extra Magic Hours
Evening hours seem to get more crowded than the mornings. Just at MGM for evening hours- busier than the day

Re: Extra Magic Hours
just look at the list for each park on www.disneyworld.com and you can see what's open during the morning and evening EMH.

Re: Extra Magic Hours
One thing I found out on my last trip though, the EMH listed on the website were incorrect. When we checked in we got the information for the week, which was different from what I had planned with.

Re: Extra Magic Hours
its usualy a "land" w/ the rides that stay open or open early, ie: in the morning fantasy land rides may open arely if so DO THOSE thats prob the time there will be the least lines, and also say for epcot the fastpass attractions for future world will stay open late, world showcast never stays open past illuminations. if planning your EMH is the only thing that ends up not going to plan you did a good job planning!

Re: Extra Magic Hours
I found the ages of our kids made a difference. I think in MGM there was not a lot for them to do in EMH - at least when we went.

Re: Extra Magic Hours
Cavey, are you saying that we should skip the EMH all together if going during value season? We are going next Feb & I've been trying to plan ADR's around probable EMH's, since that will determine which park we are in for the day (if we go to whichever park has the morning EMH). We do have the hopper passes but we found last time that we really only used them to get to dinner in Epcot from another park.
Are you basically saying that the parks are too busy when there has been EMH in the morning? Just looking for planning advice! |
