what else during christmas??
Here's a question:
Can anybody give me some different ideas for things to do at Disney during Christmas time? We're going down 12/7-12/12 & are mostly interested in seeing the lights at night, but what unique, non-normal park stuff would you suggest for during the day? Keep in mind we'll have a 2, 4, & 14 year-old with us, but you can only really ride Dumbo soo many times. I'm looking for things that will make other people say, "hey, I didn't know you could do that!!" Thanks!!!

Re: what else during christmas??
Both Arabian Nights and Dixie Stampede have Christmas shows that are really good. That would be for the evening though. Universal has Grinchmas going on. The Florida mall has all the normal mall animatronic stuff and Santa too.

Re: what else during christmas??
The Grand Floridian Hotel will have a lifesize gingerbread house in the lobby that you can go by and see. I have only seen pictures, but this is something that we are going to add to our holiday trip this year. There is even a little gingerbread shop where you can buy stuff as well. We will probably do this on the way to or on the way out of the Magic Kingdom, just planning to take the resort monorail instead of the express back to the ticket and transportation center. Anyone can ride the resort monorails, even if you are not staying at one of these hotels. Good luck, hope you have a good trip!

You may want to check out some of the resorts like the Grand Floridian, Boardwak, Swan & Dolphin, Yacht & beach. They all have some amazing Christmas decorations. The Christmas tree at the Wilderness Lodge is really nice too. We did this last year and every one really enjoyed it.

The ginger bread house at the GF is great! I have a pic here somewhere if you want to see it. We also like the Country Bears Christmas show, it's cute.

Re: what else during christmas??
We took our 3 and 7 year old to the Dixie Stampede and they loved it!!!. We did not pay for the younger child, but they tell you you need to hold them on your lap. Well the theater has long bench seating, and there was plenty o' room!! Plus we brought both a PB&J just incase. Great family fun
The kids loved it, and it is a great show/value for the money.

Re: what else during christmas??
We went on a carriage ride in Fort Wilderness. Many of the campsites are decorated for Christmas. It was pretty reasonable 30 or 35 dollars for 1/2 hour. DD still talks about Big Jim- the horse who pulled the carriage.

ICE at Gaylord Palms is fun.
http://www.gaylordhotels.com/gaylord...o/IcePalms.cfm Celebration has snow falling nightly, as well as carolers and holiday entertainment. Cypress Gardens does Winterwonderland. And there are alot of local events. http://www.floridakiss.com/do/events...1599&miscInfo= The campers at Fort Wilderness do an awesome job with decorations.

Re: what else during christmas??
The Candlelight Processional at Epcot is a Disney holiday tradition that shouldn't be missed. It's the telling of the Christmas story through the music of a Mass choir and a 50-piece orchestra and the reading of a guest celebrity. There are three performances each night (free with park admission) and dinner packages also are available that include reserved seating.

Re: what else during christmas??
Bumble, your children are tooo cute!!! Oh my gosh, they are beautiful! Oops, sorry about the threadjack.
I also know that there is a choir that sings in the lobby at the WL during the holiday season, that is very lovely. The atmosphere is so Christmasy there. I also think the Candlelight Processional is a must do.
