Easter Suggestions....HELP
Hello, Easter is the one time of year I have never been to WDW, and it is because of the crowd levels...BUT we are going on a cruise April 17-21 and want some Disney days
Would you recomend a few days before the 17th (Good Friday area) or a few days after the 21st (easter weekend) Is it really that bad with crowds, or Just the actual Easter Sunday Day? Thanks... Den ![]()

Re: Easter Suggestions....HELP
Went during Easter many years ago and IT IS CROWDED, I think I would go before the cruise because I think most schools are out after Easter not before.

Re: Easter Suggestions....HELP
We are out the week of the cruise, normally we take the kids out of school (yep, were baaaad), but we are going with friends this year who have older kids. I'm thinking before also, because my DW always says do WDW first and then relax on the ship.

Re: Easter Suggestions....HELP
I think either week is going to be about the same. I went the week before once and yes it was busy, and YES they did close MK b/c of capacity BUT it was still beautiful to see around Easter! I say a crowded day in WDW in better than a boring day at home any day! I am also assuming you are going for the atmosphere and not trying to pack everything in quickly.

Re: Easter Suggestions....HELP
I think you may be better off before rather than after easter. I went on Easter sunday one year and to say that it was crowded is an understatement. Just go with a commando park plan, hit the parks as they open and get on as many of your must do's as possible before lunch. I could not deal with the crowds after luchtime and ended up leaving and not going back to the parks until late in the evenings for the shows.

Re: Easter Suggestions....HELP
We were at WDW Good Friday to Easter Sunday 2004. It was very crowded. We still had fun. Went to the parks early and used our fast passes and we were able to do/see a lot. The parks get really packed by noon. I mean wall to wall people packed!
So we were out by noon and back at the resort to rest and relax by the pool! By being an experienced WDW visitor you should be fine! |

Re: Easter Suggestions....HELP
We were there this year and we left Disney on Easter Sunday, to say the least it was PACKED, the big rides had waits of 200+ minutes. The week before and after Easter are alot of schools spring breaks and there alot of sports tournaments going on, my Dad coaches high school softball and we were there for a tournament, so I would say it will be packed.
