All WDW theme parks closed tomorrow!

I hope this storm does not mess up too many plans.

Oh no that's horrible. I didn't think the storm was anywhere near Orlando. I guess they just want everyone to be safe, but that just stinks.

oh i feel so sorry for those who are there now and who were supposed to go there tomorrow. what a shame. i hope wilma doesn't go near orlando. i hope she changes her path and goes out to sea.

Bummer. But seeing how well they handled guests last year during the hurricanes, I have no doubt they'll make it up to the ones missing out.

I feel bad for the guests, but I'm relieved for the cast members. It's good for them to be safe and sound at home.

Wouldn't you love to be one of the ride out crews for this? I would.

Wow i feel bad for the people that are down there. I hope they figure out a way to like make it so that those people don't end up having to pay for a day they never used. That really sucks.

From what I heard, Disney made good on passes that weren't used.

we were there last year during hurricane Jeanne, & Disney gave me 3 Adult ultimate hopper passes (1 for each of us for the 1 day that the park was closed) which never expire. The catch was that if my travel agent hadn't called me (just to see how I was doing & told me to ask for the free days) then I would not have recieved the free tickets. The Disney CM's were not about to offer anything, and when I did ask, it took one girl asking another, who asked another, before they found out that they were aloud to do so!

I worked during charley and frances.. The first times ever that Disney closed for a hurricane.. I know that some of the managers ride the storm out in the parks , ride out crews, so they can report to places if something happens. Else than that, we basiclly were on our own. We were a lot of internationals living at the commons so we had fun. During Frances it was 2 days of snacks, caned food, beer,soda and water:) we walked around the street during the day. But during both nights, because of curfew, we stayed indoor. Did not get to much sleep, but we survived.

During Charley on the other hand, never been that scared ever. Charley passes straight over the house we stayed at. It was scary,loud, and when we came out the next morning, seeing 3 120feet trees on top of the house was not a nice sight. and 4 totaled cars...

It was even creepier for those of us on vacation here.. I got here Sat for a family related stay,but had originally been hoping to blow out some candles at the park today. On the news, I saw there were a bunch of Ready-to-go emergency trucks stationed at the EPCOT parking lot! (A HINT that this was a different kind of weekend!). Then last night on the news, we saw the reports about the parks being closed. They reported Disney closed in the morning, and Universal closed all day.
Woke up this morning to the heavy pitter-patter of rain here in Volusia County, but the news reports keep saying this will be over in another hour or two.
I'm worried about the damage caused to those who were really badly affected. And also about the frequent Tornado warnings they have in the area. Can't wait till this is over.
Might not get to visit the parks during this brief trip, but at least I'm with my family on my "special day". Hope it works out.

And safety to those of you in the midst of it.

Oh, by the way it's supposed to be COLD tonight! (in the 40's!)
