Voyage of the Little Mermaid closing for refurbishment

I just read on wdwig that the Voyage of the Little Mermaid will be closed for refurbishemnt from Jan. 6th - March 1st 2003. :( My little mermaid will be soooo disappointed! Just wanted to let those going soon know. What a major bummer!!

:o Thanks for the heads up on that attraction. I have a trip planned from February 25 - March 5 planned and my day set aside for MGM just happens to be the 1st. So I guess part of my "Anything Can Happen"Day on the 4th will have to be gonig back to MGM to see the VotLM

Hey....How do you get that count down til your next trip in your post?

I didnt know that that was a ride!:o . I thought it was just a little mermaid meet and greet:o (agian). Thats why I never went there, lol. Welcome to DisneyCentral WDWNutCase! Joe, I can't believe YOU haven't been to this! This show is so GREAT! Make sure you go to it next time. With the indoor "mist", bubbles, and laser show, they really make it feel like you've gone under the sea!!

Attention! There is a Little Mermaid meet-n-greet at MK and the wonderful SHOW Voyage of the Little Mermaid at MGM that can't be missed!!! Don't get the two confused!!!

Does anyone else think 2 months seems rather long to be down for an attraction like this?

It does seem rather long but I guess that is the price we have to pay for wonderful attractions and visiting during the slow season. I imagine the room gets kind of moldy with all the mist etc... It smells moldy anyway! But what a great show.

It does smell a little moldy in there. Maybe it's taking so long because the cast is changing? Just a guess. It's a great must-see show. I took my dear boyfriend to meet Ariel in the grotto at MK so in return he took me to see Sebastian at Voyage. :)
