What would you cram into 5 days at WDW?

I know a lot of people only go to WDW for 5 or 6 days, but that seems so short to me.

We want to go to WDW this fall (and with CM discounts, for once affording it won't be a problem! ) but I think we will only be able to take time off from work for 5 or 6 days.

Ryan will be a WDW newbie...so what are the most important things to see/do in that 5 days?

i would definately at least go to each of the 4 parks. Not being able to see EVERYTHING in each one wouldn't be as bad to me as not being able to VISIT each one....I would try to maybe get some PS's at some of the resorts too. That way Ryan can check them out if he is interested. I like to eat at the Beach Cub because you can walk over to Epcot...then again Epcot has great food. If I could only eat at one resturant and I was going without kids I would pick LeCellier!! CRT is always fun and yummy!

Re: What would you cram into 5 days at WDW?

The most important thing to do is make sure you let me know when you will be there so we can have lunch or dinner!

As you know you're not going to fit everything in...I would not go crazy commando Kimmy on Ryan his first time at the World. Seeing that you guys live at DL why not show him the stuff that is not out thereat DL...along with the manditor ToT plunge and stuff of course

Lucky you EE will be open by fall.

Re: What would you cram into 5 days at WDW?

I'd skip AK, not worry about the water parks or DQ, and take my time with the other parks!

Or... a day for each of the other parks, half day for AK/DTD... and then a free day to re-do whatever you liked best!

SKIP AK!!! I just can't believe it...am I crazy for loving AK?

Oh and I would go to DTD after the parks close at least one night...

(If you do AK I would suggest going early and rushing to the safary...the animals are most active in the early morning...I do agree with Andrea that you can rush AK in a half day or so...if you go Commando.)

a month would not be too long in my opinion.. but what would I do in 5/ 6 days ..everything I possible could. and then whine about what I missed.
must Do .. a character meal. I agree .. a day at each park.. missing out on AK ..that is just wrong. no tigger you are not the only one that loves AK ..besided EE will/should be open.

Oooohhh.... EE! Forgot all about that! Don't skip AK! LOL

Tigger, loving AK is NOT why we say you're crazy. Oh. Perhaps I've said too much.

It's just that of everything that's available, AK is the most expendable to me. Although the safari is cool... and EE looks fantastic!

What can I say...I love animals! They taste great...AK makes me hungry and there are some many wonderful stops to pick up an animal flavored snack (like The Tusker House).

Nope, you aren't crazy (or if you are, we are too) AK is our favorite park!

Oh wow! You've got me rofl! I love that you are a member of PETA! That is one of the funniest things I've ever heard! :D

I think that you need a day at each of the four parks and the fifth day to devote to what you liked best. You could do DtD on the day that you do AK. AK closes pretty early so it would give you plenty of time to explore the stores!

Re: What would you cram into 5 days at WDW?

I didn't love AK the first time I was there but the second time it was great. I was not in commando mode (with my mother) and it was so beautiful.

But, the answer the first question I think I, too, would try to focus on the attactions they don't have at DL - except for your favorites that you will want to ride anyway. There is nothing like Epcot at DL is there? I'm sure you will want to spend some time there.

Re: What would you cram into 5 days at WDW?

HII!!!!! I miss you!!!!
I actually think 5-6 days is a great length...I would do one day each park and then one extra for everything else you miss...of course you'd probaly hop back and forth on your "one day for each park" days..but do the bulk of one park one day!

Re: What would you cram into 5 days at WDW?

We'll be there for 6 days in June and only 5 of those will be park days. If you get bored and want to see what I crammed into our 5 days, you can read my Trip Plans in the MouseTrap forum.
I also think 5-6 days is such a short period of time to be able to do all we want to do..someday we'll go and actually get to stay 10 days or so..that would be the perfect amount of time to me.

Hey! My dad (who hunts in Africa on occasion) says he's a member of that PETA, too!

And as I've mentioned before, DH couldn't stop making jokes about the restaurants in AK and at AKL serving the slow animals. (Okay, I find it funny. )

jk8... I think I would have enjoyed AK more if I wasn't in commando mode and focused into squishing everything I could into my trip. It really does seem to be a "stop and smell the roses" place... and I just couldn't stop!
