Dumbo question?

has anyone else ever wondered why they never added a few more Dumbo rides at the MK?

I mean like more than one to wait in line for.

Re: Dumbo question?

Well, space is an issue (Have I ever mentioned getting to FL at rope drop to avoid the line )

It is funny, though. The Magic Carpets in Adventureland and Triceretop Spin in AK are essentially the same ride, but I've never had a long wait for either of those rides.

Re: Dumbo question?

I've never thought about it but one is enough. Actually if they could build something like a Dumbo "Soarin" kinda ride that would be cool.

Re: Dumbo question?

I would think that it's because Dumbo is such an "icon". More than one and it wouldn't be "special".

Re: Dumbo question?

Isn't Astro Orbitor and Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride sort of the same thing, and the one over at DAK? Tricera Top Spin, or whatever?

How many more spinny up in the air rides do we need?

Re: Dumbo question?

Yeah, I am not too into these sort of rides but I DO admit I enoy a whirl on all of them every once in awhile. I can't say that I've ever questioned why there was no more Dumbo attractions but "the wait" has almost been as famous as the attraction itself.

There are many other "cycle rides" (or "stop & gos") that cause this same sort of line build-up; the teacups, the barnyard coaster, triceritop spin, magic carpets, Astro Orbiters, etc.... the whole ride has to stop in order to "load" a whole 'nother bunch of folks!!

I'll go with you on Magic Carpet and Triceratop Spin...but Astro Orbitor is NOW WHERE NEAR the same There are heights...and then there are HEIGHTS!

I do think, however, one Dumbo ride is enough...

I do agree with your opinions on the Astro-Orbitor!! Yuck!! I actually felt dizzy on that ride!!!

I spent alot of time on Dumbo was DD was 2 1/2 and again when she was 4 yrs old. To a toddler Dumbo is the ultimate "thrill ride"!!! She loved the Magic Carpets too, but (to her) Dumbo was worth the waiting in line!!

Re: Dumbo question?

I guess it must be my kids.
To them Dumbo is the best ride in all of WDW. Well when they were younger anyway. Now we have another young one that feels the same way. ( Shows you what I know, I thought all kids felt this way)
And we'll be out there waiting in line for 40 to 60 minutes to make him happy......

Give me 2 Dumbos and cut the wait time in half.

Re: Dumbo question?

Astro-Orbitor is the only ride at WDW that I've ever been afraid - really afraid - on. It scares me silly!
