Attendance Figures for parks last year

1. Magic Kingdom (WDW), 16.1 million, +6.5 percent
2. Disneyland, 14.5 million, +8.5 percent
3. Epcot, 9.9 million, +5.5 percent
4. Disney-MGM Studios, 8.6 million, +5 percent
5. Animal Kingdom, 8.2 million, +5 percent
6. Universal Studios Florida, 6.1 million, -8.5 percent
7. California Adventure, 5.8 million, +3.6 percent
8. Islands of Adventure, 5.76 million, -8.5 percent
9. SeaWorld Orlando, 5.6 million, +0.2 percent
10. Universal Studios Hollywood, 4.7 million, -6 percent

Interesting statistics. I dare say Animal Kingdom figures may pass MGM this year with a certain new ride opening.

It's also interesting how much it varies from California Adventure to Disneyland, especially when you consider their locations to each other. I mean... look at Islands of Adventure vs. Universal Florida... that makes sense to me.

Wow, it is really great to see how Disney Whomps up on Universal in the attendance figures. Thanks for sharing with us.

BTW... this info is US related only. No idea where Disneyland Japan or Paris or the other oversea parks compare. I hear Universal Japan really kicks butt in attendance numbers though.

Interesting that SeaWorld was the first to raise ticket prices, when they seem to not have done so hot.

So will Universal be lowering prices? (Yeah, right!)

I think Universal went $63 today. But they are offering online buyers the 2005 rate with 5 consecutive days of visits as well.

On the Seaworl note... at least their attendance didn't drop, and they are adding some cool new additions this year so that will help some.

When is the last time a new attraction came to Islands of Adventure?

When is the last time I even went to Islands of Adventure?

Never. Don't plan to.

LOL

It is my favorite outside Disney park (closely followed by SeaWorld), but it has been the same park for the past 5 years or so. I don't know any park that does not change or update that long at a time.

Interesting, I do think that AK will surpass MGM this year. I know I'll go to AK at least twice next trip.

Good for them! (bad for those of us who like to actually get on a ride occasionally)

I have never been to any of the Universal Studios parks. Are they that bad?

Or is the Disney Magic just overwhelming? [I vote for this.]
