Which ride brings back your childhood memories?

I've been thinking alot about WDW and when I went there when i was a little girl. My favorite memories were:

1. Dumbo ( I still have a great picture of my mother and I on this.) EVERY time we go to MK we have to ride on this;and everytime I am flying up high i have these flood of memories of when I was a child.

2. Mr. Toads wild ride. One time when my father came with us (which didn't happen very often) we went on this ride, my first time on it. During one part, when a train or other car looked like it was coming straight at us, I was so scared, I told my dad "here you drive it". To this day my dad still remembers this and laughs so hard!!:laugh :laugh

These are the two things that remind me of my childhood(even though Mr. Toads wild ride isn't there anymore) whenever I go to WDW!!

What are some of the rides/attractions that bring back your childhood memories?:D :)

Its A Small World.
My poor mother, I made her go on that ride at least five times in a row when I was three while my dad took my sister to the good big kid rides. Now I avoid that ride like the plague!

Definetly 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I remember vividly sitting there staring out the porthole and being so excited. I talked none stop the whole time we were on it. I think I was around 5 or 6, it DEPRESSES me that it is gone :nooo: :nooo:

My childhood memories all come from Disneyland since I did not make my first WDW trip until I was 23. So ...

My favorite childhood memories from Disneyland are:

Adventure Thru Inner Space (Closed in 1986  )

Pirates of the Caribbean

Penny Arcade (Had an old pinball-style baseball game that I loved! Might still be there.)

Thunder Mountain Railroad

My sister and I had the warning memorized...(and would say it again and again and again)

Howdy, Folks. Please keep your hands and arms inside the train and remain seated at all times. Hang on to your personal belongings now, especially them hats and glasses. 'Cause this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness.

Pirates

was adventures through inner space the ride where you went to mars? that was cool also.

Of course, my first time was in wdw in '73 or '74. I don't think much was open back then. I KNOW space mountain was not. (my reaction to finding out we were going there--what? no roller coasters? ahhhhhh!)

my husbands new fave (we have only been to disneyland one time, and so we are making our childhood memories now)
Indiana Jones and Mr. Toad!:D

No. It was a ride that shrank you down to the size of an atom.

Here is a link that tells all about it.

Adventure Thru Inner Space

Splash Mountain: I'll never forget my Mom's face after we exited the ride. We told her to sit up front because she didn't want to get wet. Her leaning back kept me dry :laugh

This attraction is gone but Captain EO at MGM. It was our senior trip and I had no idea who Captain EO was. We followed a herd of boys into this attraction (the only reason why we, a herd of girls, bothered) and halfway through I blurted out unintentionally loud "Hey, that looks like Michael Jackson!"
We were sitting next to the boys and of course my girlfriends laughed because of the sudden outburst It was a real conversation starter afterwards.

Honestly, I can't remember how good the ride was, I just remember standing in line watching all of the fake shrunken buggies come out of the other end of the microscope and thinking all of the people had really shrunk.

That's why it's such a fun Disney memory for me.:)

You guys just think you're soooo funny! My DD & DH did the same thing to me...then of course they had to buy the picture to show how soaked I got!:madmad :madmad Bad kids!

I never got to go to WDW until I was 25. So my "childhood" memories are my DD's, & she always had to go on Dumbo! And it had to be a blue one at that!:)

i would have to say Mr. Toads Wild Ride, it was my favorite when I was a kid, always went on it first. Also I was the youngest and I loved annoying my sisters by repeating the "step off to the right, when the car stops please step off to the right". They hated that so for me it was great.

The other choice would have to be the Pirates of the Carribean. Just a great ride, it use to scare me back then.:)

To bring back memories it would have to be still in operation so I would say....Oddly the Wedway people mover and Space Mountain.

The other ones that I remember having the biggest impact for memories was The Skyway (ski lifts), 20,000 Leagues and a ride sponsered by Eastern Airlines; "If you had wings".

I'll tell you, it's that Father/Daughter bond--it'll get Mom everytime. My Dad thought it'd be hysterical. It really is. We bought the picture too. I don't think she trusts us anymore:laugh
