I saw the photo pass thing that Cavey posted and we are REALLY interested in doing this. It sounds so cool that you can make a movie with your pics!!!

We never really do pics at the park but you get a card after you get a pic? Do you give this to the CM taking the pic for every other pic?
You sign up for the photo pass movie after your trip?

I want to make sure that I am reading the website correctly!!

I don't know much about the movie, but yes - the first CM that offers to take your pic will give you a card. Hand that same card to each CM that takes your picture for the rest of your trip and they will all be stored in the same online account. I'm assuming you go online and order the prints (or movie, if you wish) afterwards.

You can order the prints at the end of your trip, too. Last time we went (03/05) the card was in our room when we checked in. So we carried it with the park passes.

VERY interesting. We stayed at PC and AS Sports in May and October 2005 respectively and they weren't in our rooms. Maybe a deluxe bonus!

Either way, you can get them from any CM taking pictures!

Boss Mouse and Allyson are both correct. I don't stay at resorts while I'm down there cause I stay with relatives, so we always get our Photopass card from the first photographer that takes our picture. We made a real effort this time (Dec 2005) to get a bunch of Photopass pics taken. We had 48, so I was pretty happy with that.

As far as the DVD goes, the answer is yes. You log on to the website when you get home and you upload your photopass pics, and you can even upload some of your own pics. You get to upload a total of 120 pics to their site, and then you choose 63 (I think that's the #, but it's something like that for sure) to go in the final slide show. You have complete control of the order the pics are arranged and everything. The cool thing is, that you can do the entire slideshow with no obligation to buy. I went through the whole process and really wanted to buy it, but the more we thought about it, for $49.95, we weren't real sure how often we would watch it... I mean, it is just a slideshow with some Disney music and some background animation... It's pretty cool...but I don't know if it's $50 cool...

Cool - I am looking forward to checking this thing out. Even if we don't get the video, it will be nice. Plus, I like the idea of being able to buy some pics and not have to make an instant decision on them. One year, we bought a pic, only to find out that when we got home, the pic we had taken on our camera was much better. There went that money....

Just an FYI. You can also go to the camera shop in EPCOT and have your photo pass pictures put on a CD and Disney gives you the rights so that you can make your own pictures. The cost is $99 which is a lot but by the time you think about the cost of buying a few of the packages it doesnt seem so bad. By the end of our trip we had 136 photos on ours.

Also, they are starting to take orders for the CD from home as well. I just placed our order.

The only thing is that you just get the original pictures they took. If on the website you made any changes (cropping, borders, etc.) that is not included.

You can also put more than one photopass on the cd if you happened to have more than one from your trip.

I just found these posts about the Photo Pass and the CD today and, I must say, I'm very excited! We only have 18 more days until we're in the World and I plan to take full advantage of this. Pictures are my true passion as my family will attest to. Maybe if someone else is taking the pictures and I'm in them too there won't be so many groans and rolling of eyes.

Now for my question - I'd really like to bring the CD home with me rather than ordering it online and have to wait for it - and since I'm not sure which park we're going to on our last day - is the camera shop in Epcot the only place you can have the pictures put on the CD or can the camera shops in the other parks do the same thing?

Oh, and one more thing - are the pictures that are taken during the rides also on the Photo Pass card?

There are a couple of places where you would be able to get the CD. I am not sure of the locations, but MickeyRon just got his CD with 350 pictures on it!!! I think he said there was also a location at MK. Also, the CD is ready in about 5 minutes! You don't have to wait until you get home to get the CD!

And sadly, the ride pictures aren't included on the Photo Pass card...although that would be TOO COOL!!!! I think more people would DEFINITELY buy the CD if they could have all of their ride pics on the CD!!!!!!
