MNSSHP - Friday or Sunday
Which would be less crowded Friday (the opening night) or Sunday? We are planning to be in DW Sept 27th - Oct 3 and based on last year the opening night was the last Friday in September. If that is still the schedule once they release the dates, we wondered what opening night is like?

Re: MNSSHP - Friday or Sunday
This question seems to come up every year--I always say Sunday because the local kiddies will have to be in bed for school the next day and those families won't stick around past the fireworks.

Re: MNSSHP - Friday or Sunday
We went on Friday night 10/28 and on Halloween ( Monday) 10/31.
I thought Friday was much more crowded than Halloween night. There must have been a lot of local people there on 10/31, beacuse after the parade and fireworks, everyone seemed to leave the park! We felt like we had the place to ourselves! So I would go with Sunday vs. Friday. Have fun! |

Re: MNSSHP - Friday or Sunday
Ok, I'll be to opposite one. I would, & we are, going on Friday, 9/29. It's the first night for MNSSHP, & I don't thing many people think about going this night because halloween is still a month away. Plus Columbus day is only a week & a half away.
We went last year on the first Friday and it was pretty empty.
