Harry Potter?
Does anyone know if there is anything Harry Potter in Disneyworld? I know it's not Disney related, but I'm just curious?

I heard a rumor a year or so ago that there were plans to put a Harry Potter themed attraction at MGM... Nothing ever came of it though. It seemed pretty far fetched at the time...just as it does now...

Hmmm, nope, not that I can think of. Although, imagine if Disney DID have the Harry Potter rights what kinda of attraction they could make, wow!

Didn't Disney get a chance to get the rights to HP, but they thought the book wasnt that great so they let scholastic get it??? OOps on their part, but I guess you can't win em all!
Plus since the movies were all WB wouldn't all the WB parks have HP....hmm considering WB sold six flags off a while back maybe not...

The books ARE good. Well. I didn't start enjoying them until the third book. Thats where her writing improves and makes the story more interesting and attention grabbing. They get...really dark though, as time wears on. I just finished the fifth book a little while ago and it was maybe a little too dark for me. Although its not a bad change for the series, I'm not too keen on taking Harry Potter from cute lil kid book to something...darker. Ah well. Point being, the books get better and more 'grown up'.

I still hate Harry as a character though. What a brat! The only reason I read the books is cause my friend bought me the first five in a set for Christmas! Such blackmail...grrr.

Side Note: They also passed on the Lord of THe Rings Trilogy, Survivor, and CSI when they were approached before others to make a bid . . . but these were Eisner decisions based on cost alone . . .

Since Disney (i.e. Disney Channel and ABC) airs the Potter movies I heard there was still a chance a Potter attraction could happen.

That was a rumor I read awhile back.

Ah yes I forgot LotR, stupid stupid stupid, so to try and recoup their loss they go with TLW&tW, don't they think Narnia is a bit outdated compared to HP? Hmm I could sell them an idea for a revamped Wizard of Oz!
Oh but with Bobby now in control who knows, I mean he did bring back Pixar!
