WDW - Pirates of the Carrbean Ride and Movie

Has anyone heard whether disney is having a special event (tickets, celebs...) on July 7th when the refurb is reo-opened and the movie II is released? We will be in WDW on the 7th and would like to participate.

Neat-o!! That would be fun!! I'd call Disney for more information if I were you--just to see what they might have planned, etc. Then maybe check out wdwmagic.com for rumors...

from what ive read it seems that they may have the premier at disneyland and have an event for the ride that day, of course ive seen nothing concrete yet

The Premiere for the movie will be held either s few days before the 7th, so it is possible that Disney might have a few of the stars of the PotC movies (Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom) come to Disney to help reopen the ride. It's just a rumor, but it would be really cool if it did happen.

I heard a rumor (operative word=RUMOR) there was going to be a pin event. Something along the lines of a treasure hunt for a Gold Pin.....if I find out any info I will post it.
