Fall Free Dining?

So I just went to mousesavers and saw that free dining may be back for August/September, but I can't seem to find any details. It said that it will be available to book for Disney Visa card holders starting 4/1 which is tomorrow and for everyone else 4/4 but I can't find any additional info anywhere.

Has anyone else heard anything about this? Thanks!

Karen

I checked the Disney Visa website and didn't see anything about this under WDW offers.

My sister took advantage of this deal when it was offered last time. I think for sure if it is offered again, I will do it too.

Re: Fall Free Dining?

I'm disappointed. I thought the next wave of discounts would be June/July or July/August, but Disney skipped those months and jumped right into the heart of the hurricane season. I guess I'm stuck paying full price this July. I would change my dates, but I already paid for my airline tickets.

Ancient New Jersey proverb: It is better to have vacationed at Disney World with no discount, then to never have vacationed at Disney World at all.

Re: Fall Free Dining?

I just booked our vacation for Aug 21-31st with Walt Disney Travel Company and got the free dining. I saw the posting on Mousesavers. The offer still isn't listed on the Visa Disney offers site, but it is REAL. We saved almost a $1000 for 4 of us with the free dining. The agent I spoke with said that there are limited number of packages and they expect them to go fast. We booked at the Port Orleans-French Quarter with no problems. So, if you are considering going to Disney between Aug. 13 and Sept. 30, make your reservations soon to get the free dining.

Re: Fall Free Dining?

Not really surprised they skipped the summer at all. All of the CMs I talked to said this will be the busiest summer in over 10 years. It is still possible we may see discounts for after July 4, there are no rules that say they can't release anything for skipped dates. We will not see anything for June, that is for sure.

Re: Fall Free Dining?

Ha, Wish, sorry to confuse you with my weird thread title. Now that I look at it, it is kind of odd!

I am so excited that this is being offered again - it was the best deal ever for us last year. We saved about $830 last year for 3 of us for five days. And we ate like kings!

Re: Fall Free Dining?

Free dining? Wow! Now that's pretty cool and a good idea.

So we're probably going to Disney World from August 25th to Sept 1st (family of 5)... The only thing is we're coming from Canada. Would we still be able to get it? Or is it for U.S. residents only?

I believe anyone who books a package can get the deal! Good luck!

Re: Fall Free Dining?

Ah, I see...That would be great if true!

So how do you book them? Only through mousesavers.com? And would you be able to still get the Park Hopper option on top of the regular Magic Your Way passes?

Finally, do you have to stay at a disney resort if it's true? For example, we were thinking of staying at Hotel Royal Plaza in Downtown Disney (since we could fit five of us in the one room, where as a lot of official Disney resorts you can only do up to four)... Would we still be able to get the option?

Sorry to be a pain! I appreciate everyone's help... It's our first time going in 15 years, so it's all kind of new to me. Ha.

You can book through a travel agent or directly with Disney; yes you can upgrade the basic passes to Park Hopper at an extra cost and yes - you must stay at a Disney resort. If you want a moderate resort for 5, you can book a trundle room at Port Orleans Riverside (Bayou). Your other alternative would be 2 rooms at a value resort or the Family Suites at the AllStar Resort. Finally - YOU CANNOT BE A PAIN ASKING QUESTIONS ON DC!!!!!! Have a wonderful time planning!
