Yes passholders got VIP viewing at illumiNations at italy Isola. But entrance was first come first serve. and the one time I tried it was full. Passholders also had a lounge last year inside the Land Pavilion where we could get a cold drink and rest in the A/C
Both perks have expired

Sometimes it seems like there's not really any point to having an annual pass or belonging to the Disney Club.

I totally disagree. I don't purchase annual passes to get benefits. I purchase them because it makes more econimic sense for our family than purchasing park hoppers. If we are at WDW for 20 days during the year, that means my cost to enter a park is about $20 per day, which is half of what it would be if I purchased any other pass. Benefits are just gravy.

By they way, for this benefit, I would buy an AP even if I was only going for a week:

Tower of Terror/Rock 'N Roller Coaster Passholder Nights - beginning one hour after the Studios close and running for 2 hours. ToT and RnRC will be open to passholders. The event will take place on two consecutive weekends, March 7-9 and March 14-16.

Also, you receive a 10% discount on all EPCOT restaurants for dinner and 30% off of golf green fees. Those two alone save me several hundred dollars every trip.

I agree that the benefits other than unlimited admission are "gravy". Most of the time I remember the discounts after I could have used them.

Passholders get a quarterly newsletter the Mickey Moniter that shares unadvertised perks. I know you can pull on up at www.themeparks.com.

Mickey, you DON'T get the discount for dinner;you get it for lunch only during the week. As for the person who was sarcastic about free parking: It costs 7 dollars to park for the day. I went 2 dozen times during my last annual pass. If I just had a seasonal pass,I would have had to pay 168 extra dollars,so it IS a big deal.

Although I am a real bargain shopper & I appreciate the "perks" that go with the AP, like Mickey I buy them just because it makes more sense. We're getting 3 week-long plus trips out of them this year alone. And I get the Premium one so water parks are included. I also like the fact that once I buy them it's one thing off my list of "things to do" to prepare for a trip.

Well If you are staying on property and are just using WDW transportation, then its not such a perk. But I do agree with you
thats ALOT of money!

I am purchasing a AP because we are staying longer then a week.
So It is economical for my family and me to do so.:angel
