This will be my first time ever attending MVMCP. We'll be in the World Nov 29 - Dec 6 and will be attending the party on Nov 30.
Our dilemma: Do we eat in MK or WL for dinner? We'll be staying at the Wilderness Lodge and enjoy eating in Whispering Canyon. The day we're attending the party we plan on visiting MGM (a park we're usually done by around 3pm). Should we plan to hit MK for a dinner around 4:30/5pm or plan to have dinner at WL at 5pm then head to MK? We're not sure which would be the better option? Any advice? ![]() |

Re: MVMCP Dining Dilemma
They usually start letting in people at 4pm on the day of these extra parties,so I would make a reservation for around 4pm for any restaurant in the MK so you'll be ready for the party.

Re: MVMCP Dining Dilemma
We did both last year. On the first night we had an ADR at LLT (and me got to meet Mickaholic and her Mom) and it was great as we were near the mountains and got to ride with a very little wait. On the second night we had dinner at O'hanna's about 5pm and we got to the park about 6pm and we had to go to tomorrowland which was a bit busy. Then the rest of the park was opened at 7pm. It depends on what you want to see and do first at the party!

Re: MVMCP Dining Dilemma
The Parade and the fireworks aren't until about 9pm if I remember rightly. There was a castle show at different times during the evening and a show in tomorrowland. The cookies and cocoa you can get all evening! The shows don't really get started until about 7.30 so a ADR outside or inside the park will give you plenty of time to see everything if you are not bothered about the rides.

Re: MVMCP Dining Dilemma
I think it's personal preference. We like to have an early dinner the night of the party (usually at Liberty Tree) and then just kind of take in the park. Dinner at WL will work too, since you are only a boat ride away. Of course, you could try dinner at the Contemporary or Polynesian, as they are just a monorail ride away. Decisions, decisions!

Re: MVMCP Dining Dilemma
I would honestly go back to the resort and take a small breather before the party. It goes on until midnight. That way you can shower, relax or whatever and grab a quick meal at the lodge before the party.

Re: MVMCP Dining Dilemma
Thanks for the advice everyone but we figured out our plan of action. We swapped what park we were hitting the day of the party with another day so we'll be in MK the day of the party and are going to hit Liberty Tree for dinner. Ressie at 5:05pm (just got off with the Dine Line). This will give us plenty of time for dinner before the party starts.
I can't wait! Got my tickets and park passes today. Only thing left now is the rest of my dinner ressies and my CP package! ![]() |
