Re: Making the Best of Our Time

Yeah. I based the schedule I made in the document loosely on what that website predicted plus the Extra Magic Hours parks.

What I was mainly wondering is in what order should we go to the attractions, etc.

They do that too. It will tell you, based on the day you are going, what order to visit the attractions.

Re: Making the Best of Our Time

The best way to make the most of your time is to get to the parks before rope drop and hit all the must do's on your list. You should eaisily be able to do all of them before or a little after lunch time if you haul butt to each attraction. The afternoon can be for a break or whatever. That is the most efficient way to see everything you want to without in line to long.

You'll probably adjust the schedule due to lines! But that can work in your favor too! If you pass an attraction that has a short line, and it's further down on your list, grab it when you can!

Re: Making the Best of Our Time

i have to say you can go to the parks when they have the EMH. though for AK you will only get to go on DINOSAUR, i don't know about EE yet, cause the rest of the rides will be closed.

Re: Making the Best of Our Time

BE PREPARED. Know the layout of the parks. Take into consideration crowd levels. Learn how to use Fastpass quickly and efficiently. As Dana says - come at rope drop. Complete all your favourites, then go back and fill in with the other attractions. WDW can be a nightmare if you don't have a clue - and the best place in the world if you've come prepared.

Good advise. Best made plans...

Best advice is I can give is get a guidebook or park maps and get to know them ahead of time. Trying to cram everything into 3/4 days is tough without spending time reading a map.

Next best advice: pack 1/2 of what you think you need and bring twice the money you think you'll need.

Relax and above all HAVE FUN!!!

Re: Making the Best of Our Time

Try to be flexible in your ride picks. Pay attention to the ride wait boards in Epcot and MGM (they've got one, right?). Use fast pass as much as possible. Be prepared to walk from one side of the park to the other. Be prepared to spend and don't be afraid of the nicer restaurants.

Re: Making the Best of Our Time

Everyone's advice is great!

I have a more specific suggestion for Epcot.. A plan that has always, always worked for me is to get there as close as you can to opening. Head straight to Soarin and get fastpasses - they run out fast, and if you try later in the day, you might not be able to get a fastpass and will have to spend 2 hours in line. After you get them, go to Test Track and stand in line for it. The longest wait I've had for TT doing this plan is 10 minutes - usually it's a walk on. I don't do Mission Space, but I've heard because of how intense it is, it's usually has the lowest wait time out of the 3, so you might not need a fastpass for it.

Hope this helps! Have a great trip! :)

Re: Making the Best of Our Time

Four parks in 2 ˝ days in late June? Only 2 mornings? I see this as a commando challenge. (of course, I see everything that way!)

Fortunately, you’re realistic enough not to attempt everything. I like your choices of attractions. I think it can be done. You just need a really good plan.

Here’s what I like about your plan:

1. With morning EMH at AK on Saturday (get there at 7:30 a.m. – don’t stay out too late Friday night), you can do Everest, Dinosaur, and maybe Safari (not on your list) before regular opening, do Kali at 9:00, and be to the 1st show of FOTLK at 9:30 (check the schedule). This would have you out of AK around 10:00 a.m.
2. Sunday night EMH at MK. MK is open Sunday until 11:00 p.m. EMH will allow you to be there until 2:00 a.m. if you stay on-site. You should be able to get a lot of your favorites done multiple times then, just make sure you know which ones are NOT open for EMH and get them done prior. And just one more thing – as someone who’s old enough to be your father, promise me you’ll get enough sleep Sunday night that you’re prepared for the drive back Monday. Seven hours is a hefty drive.

Here’s where I have concerns about your plan:

1. Friday night EMH at MK doesn’t appear to be to your advantage. Sure, the park is open until 3 a.m., but you’ll need to get to bed for your morning EMH Saturday at AK. Why go to the park drawing the biggest crowds Friday night when you won’t take advantage of EMH there?
2. You list Illuminations as something you want to see, but you don’t have an Epcot evening planned.

Recommendation:

1. Go to Epcot after arriving on Friday. Focus on World Showcase, including the excellent food and entertainment, and catch Illuminations at closing. Save Future World for Sunday morning. Get to bed at a decent time.
2. Hit AK EMH Saturday morning. Finish by 10:00 a.m., then head to MGM as the crowds are pouring into AK (just be careful, you’ll feel like a fish swimming upstream!).
3. Get ToT or RnRc FP immediately at MGM. Ride or FP the other one as necessary. Work in your other favorites. Don’t forget about the parade and Fantasmic, which weren’t on your list. Hop to Epcot, MK, or DTD if you run out of things that interest you, but again, don’t stay out too late that night.
4. Do your Future World attractions at Epcot EMH Sunday morning, then monorail for a full day of MK. Use FP’s wisely. Mountains first. Take advantage of nighttime EMH. Consider seeing Spectromagic.

Just some suggestions. Hope there’s some nuggets there somewhere that you can walk away with. Good luck planning. And get those ADR’s if you haven’t already.
