The early-morning PS--how to get there?

Okay, remind me how you guys get to early morning reservations from your resorts. We have an 8:05 at the Magic Kingdom. We're coming from AKL and have decided not to rent the car after all.

If we get a taxi, how close to the MK can we get? If we take the bus, how early do they start running?

At which resort are you staying? The buses usually run early so people can make their PSes. You can also ask at the front desk of your resort for a schedule.

Thanks Jen. We're at AKL. I'm leaning toward the taxi, but I'm guessing the taxis will only take us to the TTC if I ask for an MK dropoff. However, if we ask them to take us to the Contemporary, maybe we can get them to drop us off right at the crosswalk between the Contemporary's walkway and the MK's walkway... .

Hey Bali! I am pretty positive that the buses start running an hour before the parks open so you just might be ok. Do you know the park hours on that particular day? Otherwise, I DO suggest the Contemporary/taxi idea only b/c we took a taxi on Thursday and it dropped us off at the taxi stand between Polynesian & T&TC. If I was quick enough I would have told him to drop me off at the Contemporary if I would have known.

The buses are running about an hour before the parks open so that early PS holders and tour takers can get to the parks. If you are that worried, take a taxi to the Contemporary, but drop you as close to the walkway as possible. But the buses should do.

Stop worrying. You will get a bus and you will make your PS at 8:05.

The buses start with there first dispatch at 6:30 they should be going from the resorts by 7am, Tell the bus driver where you need to go, as you said your going to the MK, but if you need to go to another resort they might be able to take you there direct without any transfers.

Thanks all. I'll double check with the resort when we get there. Busses have always worked for us before, but with the AKL so far from the MK, I just want to be sure.

I had several early morning ADR's while staying at the AKL. They always have a bus there to take you. I had no problems at all. The buses can start running up to two hours prior to a 9am park open. If I have an 8:05 ADR, I get to the bus stop at 7:15. I have never waited more than a few minutes for a bus.

Thanks, Dana. I'll try to get everyone moving for 6:45. Then we might get there at 7:15.
