Where do I sit ?

Where is the best place to watch the Fireworks at MK...
That doesnt require you to "save your spot" 3 hours in advance ?

Re: Where do I sit ?

Go behind the castle, away from Main Street. They shoot them off from behind the castle, everyone just likes to view them around the castle.

I don't know of a specific place though.

Facing the castle on the tomorrowland side of the hub, right under the wire that Tinkerbell goes down during the beginning.

Re: Where do I sit ?

I'm such a dork, I stood right underneath where Tinker Bell landed at Tomorrowland. I didn't remember until mickaholic said something about it. It was a good place to watch them.

Definitely the bridge to Tomorrowland. We were walking along there moments before they started and simply stopped and had a great view.

Re: Where do I sit ?

We watched from the circle right in front of the Main Street Station and walked right up. It's kinda far, but you can make a quick exit if you want. We ended up waiting until almost all the crowd had gone through and took our time shopping, but there were several who took advantage of the location and left quickly. We really hadn't planned on watching the fireworks and were on our way out of the park when they were starting, so we stopped there to watch.

Re: Where do I sit ?

We like the second floor of the train station at the entrance to Main Street. And it makes for quick getaways.

Re: Where do I sit ?

When I waited at Tomorrowland, I think we were there maybe 30 mins before. We were standing, and there were a few benches clear, but they didn't have as good of a view as we did when standing. Even right up to time, it wasn't that crowded at all. That's the first time I saw Tinker Bell start the fireworks, so it was cool.

Re: Where do I sit ?

What do you think the crowds for the night parade and Wishes will be like in mid-June? I know my boys will not sit for an hour or two waiting for the parade to start. What do you suggest? What if I claim a spot, lay out a towel or something, and DH takes them on a ride or two and then comes back to where I am? Has that worked for anyone?

Re: Where do I sit ?

That should work, just make sure no one walks on your towel. Keep your stuff on it. And always remember, if someone stands in front of you and you have been waiting for a while, or they step on you or whatever, say something! People are rude sometimes and they don't care.

And I always go in July, so mid-June should be about the same crowd levels.

.
Believe me, if someone steps on me I will surely have a word or two for them.

You know, this is like when I take my little one to the matinee movie and a tall person sits right in front of you when there are so many other available seats. I would never do that!

Anyway, thanks for the advice.

Re: Where do I sit ?

You can really just stand somewhere on Main Street without any waiting if it's not the 4th of July. Don't try to get right by the Hub. The FW's are up high so they're easy to see.
