Well, we have a two year old with us for our trip in May and we decided on Typhoon Lagoon. But I have not been there yet, we just went on statistical data like type of rides, theming, and variety of extras.

Hey there...
Depends on the age of the kids. I'm a huge fan of Blizzard Beach. Their Family Raft Ride is much cooler and IThe floating iceburgs for kids to make their way across in the kid area.

I'm not sure about Typhoon Lagoon. But at BB, there is an area strictly for kids. Little ones and medium ones. The area WDWNutCase mentioned is in the kiddie area. There is also chairs and lounge areas, so you can stake out that area first, set up camp, and take turns (if more than one adult) getting some sun,and playing w/the little ones.

We were at BB in December (but wanted Typhoon Lagoon) I was surprised at the exposure from the sun in the kiddie area - I wish there was more shade.
Well, I *would* have wished for more shade. It was something like 40 degrees the day we went. You knw it's gonna be cold when all the lifeguards are head to toe in fleece! BTW, I have heard that the TL tots area is better shaded.

Oops.
Missed the bit where you said you boh have two year olds. Silly me. *smacking self on side of head* Then, yeah I'd go with Typhoon Lagoon. I think there are more "little little kid" things there, (Yes I meant to type little twice).

And.....
I forgot to add that Typhoon Lagoon's Family Raft ride is MUCH tamer. I don't care for it cause it's very...Um...slow. But it would be great for little ones. :D

Willbegone,
I am pretty sure you know that I've been having this same dilemma (discussed in another thread) and want to let you know we've made a decision! Our kids chose blizzard beach. after looking at pictures and watching the Disney singalong beach party video and the vacation planning video, they thought BB would be funner. I don't know if this is true or not and from what I've heard TL would probably be better for us but they chose and it is all about them. My kids are going to be 5 and 7 when we go. One will be turning 5 while there, but they are very young for their ages. The 7 year old is very timid and easily scared so I don't know how this will work out. Anyway, from what I've read on this site listening to everyones opinions, it seems TL is the tamer shadier, more relaxed place to be.\ Have a great time, and remember, two year olds are happy with muddy puddles at the end of the driveway and no matter what, you can't go wrong. angie

You are right she doesn't really care but she is kind of small for her age and we need an area geared toward "little little kids" like WDWnutcase said (BTW, I like that wording :D sounds like me). Thanks for all the great advice y'all!! :) :) |

We are going to Hoop Dee Doo for the bday celebration and we made the res. about a year before the date so we should have decent seating I hope. I've never been so I hope we have a good time. Good luck and we can't wait to hear about your trip. I especially want to know the water park info when you get back. Have a great time!! Angie

Angie...
I don't think that when you make the reservation depends on what type of seating you have. I think it depends on how early you get there before the actual show.

WDW Nutcase,
are you sure? I've always heard that it has alot to do with when you make your reservations: the earlier the better. I may be wrong but I think thats what the cro person told me also. thanks Angie

You cant go wrong with either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach. My daughter at ages 3 and 5 loved both. There is sand to play with at TL and it is a little more relaxed
