Who's more excited then their kids??

Is it just me? It seems like I am more excited about going to WDW then my kids are. I even asked my 11 yr. old daughter if she is excited about going and she said yes but she doesnt see the point in getting too excited yet because we still have 2 1/2 months before we go. Maybe I am just a kid at heart?? Which is not a bad thing.

Me me me! :p Of course my kids don't know we are going yet. I told my daughter we are going camping and hiking. She is excited about that. I can't wait to tell her. Hubby says don't tell her yet. I am gonna explode tho if I can't !!

I don't have kids, but we're travelling with a fmaily that has three. They're 11, 10 and 6 and I don't think they realize that we're leaving in less than 2 days. Hee hee. It's been so long that they've been planning that I think they've just gotten used to waiting. It'll kick in when we get to the airport, I'm sure. Hee hee hee.

My husband and I try to get to WDW twice a year but my main excitement this time is seeing the kids' faces when they actually see everything. They live in a small town in one of Canada's smallest provinces and haven't travelled ever. This a is a big trip of firsts for them. First plane ride, first trip to Disney, etc...I'm just sooooooooooooo excited for them!

Me too, Me too!!

I'm ALWAYS thinking about our vacation to WDW. My hubby says after this trip in May, we can't go back for 2 years:cry:

I'm hoping he'll change his mind, since he has to live with my Disney-withdrawls for that long! I keep telling him if we buy annual passes this trip, we can go back during spring break in 2004! Using our DVC points + AP = cheap trip!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

My kids are very excited and ask every day "how much longer until we go to Disney World?" They have been several times, but they are going with their 9 year old twin cousins (which haven't been since 1999) and they are so excited to get to ride everything together!! Not more excited than me, though!

My DDs are too young to know time, but I see the days left to go really dwindling! At last, there is a light at the end of the wait since June 2001.;pirate:

I'm very excited seeing as I'm going in less than two weeks. My DD is two and doesn't quite understand the concept of less than two weeks but she gets excited when we watch our planning video. She talks about riding Dumbo and seeing Pooh everyday.

We need to hurry up and go or I'm going to drive my family nuts talking about WDW all the time. :D

I know I sometimes feel like I'm more excited than my son!!! How can that be?? Well, it is, and I"m always so excited to plan our trips.(Now, he is excited, but it's like ok, we're going to Disney, but not tomorrow so i'm not so excited yet) My girls night out to PI this past weekend was sooo much fun, and a nice Disney treat, to hold me over until our June trip. I get on line every day to read these posts, and am so happy when I find new ideas. I know my co-workers and my family are sooo tired of hearing about it!!But too bad:whistle: they're just gonna have to hear some more!!!:) :laugh

I'm a Disney fanatic, so its pretty difficult to get more excited than I am, but I'm happy to say that my 74 year old mother is JUST as excited as I am, and that's saying a LOT. It's so funny, last year was her first time going to WDW, and she wasn't excited at all because she didn't think she'd have any fun. THIS YEAR, she's so excited that she started packing LAST week, and we don't leave until this Friday! I've created a monster! :)

I don't know if it possible for my son to be more excited than me. I love going to WDW and look forward to it for months and plan every part of it I can at least 6 months before we go. So much so that I think I have even scared my inlaws who are going with us.

As a way to get my DS (4) excited I have been giving him a Disney dollar as an allowance for cleaning his room every week. (Plus extra for every new food he tries--he has major food issues.) We watch the WDW vacation planning video and lots Disney movies. I also talk about all the things to do while there as much as possible. It is hard to be excited when you don't know what is there so I have tried to tell his as much as I can about it.

I will be 56 years young in March, and cannot tell a lie. It's me, me, and me. Spent 11 days at DW for the Thanksgiving Holiday, finally made it to see Mickey's Very Merry Xmas Party, when I saw the Xmas Parade coming down Main Street, snow falling, my husband just laughed, because I was just so excited. Infact, we're going back with our kids in May ages 33, 28. and 25 years old. Do you believe that??? My 28 year old is married, and leaves her husband at home. He has come with us to DW, but we are still trying to convince him just how great DW really is compared to fishing. So, he'll be in Canada, and our daughter will be with good old mom and dad!!! You be the judge, just who will be having more fun and I feel alot better weather!!! After May, hope to go back in Nov. (by OURSELVES)!!! Although, we love having them with us. It seems kids just grow up to fast , so enjoy them while their young, because look at it this way, mine are all older and still coming with us, and we wouldn't change a thing. Counting the days till May!!!!!! JOANN:)

It was me before my DD first trip. Then things started to even out once she got on the monorail. \\

I guess the difference isn't the how much more excited but what part excites us the most.
