Let's Play a Character Game...

Well, as I'm sure most of ya'll know from my posts, after doing entertainment for 2 years at WDW, on Sunday I will finally become a full time Entertainer.

During the past few weeks I've worked nothing but Star Wars Weekends, and I feel my other characters I've helped have gone rusty performance wise...so to help me get back in "mental shape" for my job, I'm challenging YOU ALL.

We all know the characters are real. I should know. I work with them everyday. Yet some of you still seem bent on stating otherwise. Here's my challenge. You post me a question about the characters that would question them as being real, and I'll give you an answer in the form of an explanation to "prove their existance." I'm going to PROVE to you doubters that THE CHARACTERS ARE REAL! This exercise will help build my animation and storytelling skills big time. If you manage to stump me and I can't provide an explanation, next time you or your family come here I'll have a prize for you. Sounds good don't it? If you're kind of confused here's an example:

You: Why don't the characters talk if they're real?

Me: The characters DO TALK. If you've ever watched the parades/shows at WDW you'd know that. Most characters who don't talk when visiting guests are saving their voice. Remember, their job is not just at WDW. They have photo shoots, parades, film shoots, TV shows, etc. The lists goes on and on where their voice is needed, so they save their voice by not talking when visiting.

That's what I have. The game is over as soon as I post saying "I'm stumped." But if you still wanna post questions for me go right ahead. Give me time to type a response. I WILL respond even if you manage to stump me. But remember I've work and other things to do so if I don't get back to you soon be patient. Thanks for ya'lls help and....go!

Question: How can mickey be in two places at once? I have seen him on the float on my way out of the park and minutes later he was at the Contemporary surrounded by kids.

Oh Rowdy, I don't have any questions for you. I just wish the entertainers here at Disneyland were LIKE YOU! I never would have wanted to leave the department if that were the case.

Hmmm, let me see...

Why are the characters so BIG in the parks when they're often much smaller? Lilo is a little girl, yet she's so, er, tall when she's in the parks.

Rowdy!!

Rowdy, I never know what to say to a character (it's like seeing a famous person! I'm so excited!) What can I do to let them know that I am SO excited to see them??? Do they love to visit with us as much as we love to visit with them?

Now I better come up with something else.
