suggestion for july 4th fireworks

I was at DW last year for the 4th and we debated about where to go for fireworks that night. We went to Epcot and it was awesome. In addition to Illuminations there was a salute to America over the American pavillion and the lagoon. It was awesome and very moving. It was the longest fireworks display I had ever seen. We got there early and had a great seat at the American pavillion.

Re: suggestion for july 4th fireworks

You should check AllEarsNet.com for the complete schedule of this year's fireworks. It looks like MGM will have fireworks at 9 as well as MK. Epcot's Illuminations will run at 10 and Pleasure Island has something scheduled for midnight.

Re: suggestion for july 4th fireworks

I was there last year too, although we were in MK....oh, boy were there a lot of people! However....the absolutely awesome fireworks made up for it!!!

I was almost in tears it was so beautiful! Made me want to go grab a flag and run around singing the anthem!!! (boy, there's a picture!!! )

(Oh, if your going to be in MK this year for the 4th....stand right by Dumbo....it's a great spot to see the fireworks!)

One of the best places we witnessed the July 4th fireworks was at the Polynesian luau cove. It was awesome. We were uncrowded, with cocktails in hand and relaxed on the 'beach'. Fab

Come down to Downtown Disney the night of the 3rd! We will be the first to celebrate Independence Day at midnight! That way you can catch at least two shows

Actually hon with all the constuction going on at P.I. and the West Side stage being gone, I seriously doubt they'll have fireworks this year. They've not had fireworks at PI for months now due to construction. Could be wrong though.

Rowdy, don't be Goofy. (Sorry, couldn't resist) According to All Ears, Disney issued a press relelase with the times and locations of all WDW fireworks for the 4th. MGM and Fantasy in the Sky at MK at 9 PM, Illuminations at 10, with a new PI display at Midnight.

Re: suggestion for july 4th fireworks

At MK on the 3rd July they will have the same firework display as on the 4th, so you see the fireworks at MK on the 3rd then go to DTD to watch them at Midnight then go to MGM or Epcot on the 4th!

You are right that we haven't had fireworks in months, which we have had more guest complaints about than anything else. But there will fireworks over the marina at midnight. They are best viewed from the westside or the back of Motion or Rock and Roll Beach Club. This is what we have been told by our managers and there are signs up advertising at PI.

p.s. Rowdy, you work in entertainment right? I'm a CP at PI admissions, we should definately make sure to meet and say "hi" sometime.

I'm down with that. Just moved right across the street from Vista Way actually. At Sabal Palm! Ever need a lift? Have your machine call my machine.
