Lifetime pass

Has anyone heard of a lifetime pass for Disney World. If there is where do I find the information and how much is it?

Re: Lifetime pass

Didn't someone write on here some time ago that at the opening of WDW all those years ago passes for life were for sale??? I think she went on to say in those days it was still a substantial amount of money and they declined to get one-however, I beleive she said they now regretted it as it would have paid for itself over and over again- I can't say I have ever seen anything like that recently-someone please correct me if I am wrong about the opost and the Lifetime pass.

Re: Lifetime pass

I think I remember reading somewhere that the first guy who ever bought a ticket to Disneyland received a lifetime pass, but I don't know if they were ever sold to the general public. They are probably only given out as promotional prizes. What a prize that would be. If they did sell them at one time, guess I'd have to move to close so I could visit every week!

Re: Lifetime pass

I know that milestone guest and their families have received Lifetime Passes but I've never heard of them for sale.

Here is the artical for Disney's 2,000,000,000 guest.
People's Daily Online -- Pre-teen girl welcomed as 2 billionth visitor to Disney parks

Here is the artical for Disneyland's 500,000,000 guest.
AliKzam : Was Disneyland's lucky 500,000,000th guest really all that lucky?

Re: Lifetime pass

I think I heard this was done for the family that was WDW's first guests back when it opened. I was young, but I seem to remember them being interviewed on TV.

Re: Lifetime pass

They'd definatly have to be a promotional item, I can't think of what kind of price Disney would have to charge if they sold these lifetime passes...probably something ridiculosly high!

Re: Lifetime pass

From what i have heard these pases are real ,but there is a catch the only people that i have known to have these pases are VIP like rock stars and movie stars.
I have only seen one and was by chance in PI when i worked there that a guy and his fam presented it at the turnstile(and yes this was some time ago when PI had the turnstyles)and the CM that i was training had no idea what that was and ask me i had to call somebody else because i never seen it neither and the guy was so understanding because he said most CM never see them and he always had problems getting in anyware so he was used to it.
Ohhh the guy later on i found out was the second in comand of the Disney studios or something like that.
Also Roy D. and fam have these but is more for the fun of it i guess because they never get used at least not when Roy is whith them he is always sorounded by police and D security so they dont even go thru lines for nothing.

Re: Lifetime pass

I dont know about promotional, but when my DW and I got married in 94, we recieved a package in the mail from Disney advertising LIFETIME passes to all and any future parks for (if I remember) $3000.00 each. At the time, we just couldnt swing 6k. Even if we had to borrow it. We had also just purchased our first home.

I do remember that it was offered to most everyone who was getting the monthly Disney Catalog, and it was a very short offer time. Somthing like 60 or 90 days.

DW and I were just talking about this the other night and would fork over 6k now without thinking twice for lifetime passes. With what we have spent since then it would have been worth every penny.

It really chaffed us that we were young, married and broke!!
