Disney MGM changing names....

I just heard that DISNEY/MGM is becoming DISNEY/PIXAR STUDIOS.
Anyone else hear this yet?

I've heard this come up several times, now that Disney is friends with Pixar now, and not MGM.

This may change the entire park, considering MGM owns the rights to most of the attractions.

interesting too. i did know that disneymgm studios will change name to disney/pixar studios. This is a rumor or it is true that disney mgm will change to disney/pixar.

Wonder if this has anything to do with the stars wars thingy stopping?? Who knows. It'll still be my favorite cause of TOT and RnR...they can't get rid of them. The rumor before was it was suppose to just change to disney studios. I thought that the MGM was dropped awhile ago, but I could be just thinking of the other rumor.

What Star Wars thingy is stopping? Is Star Tours gone? I hope not, my DS loves that ride now that he is big enough to go on with the motion.

Oh no it's still going to be there for a very long time. They're just referring to my news that the meet and greet with Darth Vader and his stormtroopers has stopped. But hopefully they'll be doing the meet and greets again pretty soon.

As far as the name change? I work for Disney and that's the first time I've even heard that rumor! I'll definitely have to look into that.

I remember a few years ago reading something that said MGM was gonna leave and it was gonna become Disney Studios. Never heard the Pixar thing.

I've read about the whole MGM-Disney thing. However, I can't recall all the details right now. Basically, the contract expires in a year and MGM wants out, as Disney is getting a better financial deal out of the arrangment than MGM.

I don't think anything changes for the park except the name. There is a licensing agreement that will keep attractions in place.
