Christmas Week

Anyone else going during Christmas Week 2006? We have never been during the holiday season and can't wait. I know the crowds will be up there but this will be our fifth trip down to WDW so we know how to have fun with the crowds.

Re: Christmas Week

What a magical time to visit WDW. Crowded, for sure, but that won't matter if you have already been five times. Just go to the parks when they open and tour until it gets to crowded to deal with. Have fun!!

Re: Christmas Week

We left for WDW December 16th and left December 24th. The parks were amazing and very Christmas-y. Even though there were crowds of people, it was a very memorable experience! I would definitely go again!!

Re: Christmas Week

My family and I are going DEC.16-23rd and I have all of my ADR's made and have tickets to MVMCP for the 18th. From what I have been told the rides are walk on during this night so I am looking forward to going on all of our faves that night, I am even thinking of getting tickets for another night also just to have that freedom and being able to see all of the shows and parades. I cannot wait for Christmas with Disney.

Re: Christmas Week

Christmas at WDW is unlike anything ever seen before. It's been such an honor to be part of the entertainment for the holidays the past 2 years. I'm glad to hear you won't let the thoughts of crowds ruin your jovial holiday experiences to be had.

Re: Christmas Week

I've been many times during Christmas week. Your best bet will be to make sure you go to your fav park early in the day, because they will close some parks when they hit the number that says they are full. (They will open them again later in the day, when people leave, so don't give up hope!)

Also, if you are there during New Year's Eve, buy tickets and do Pleasure Island (If traveling with no kids!) Awesome time! If traveling with kids, go to a park and stay there. They will have party hats, noisemakers, etc handing them out at different places. Oh, how I wish I was there again!

Re: Christmas Week

We are planning to be there either Christmas week or the week before, but not Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. I know the week before like the 16th-19th is still value season at the resorts, then the 20th-Jan 1 is holiday , high priced season, so that may make a difference in when we go. I am just tired of watching the Disney parade on Christmas day and never getting to see the decorations in person, so last year I vowed that come _ or high water I was going to be there this year, if I have to stay in a tent at Ft. Wilderness!!!
