Disney tracking of days used on ticket...

Have there been any problems with Disney keeping track of how many days have been used on a ticket?

I just purchased 10 day hopper, no expiration tickets. We'll be using 4 days worth of the tickets in a couple of weeks. What if I go back in 3 years and Disney says I only have 2 days left? (no days left, etc.?) They don't give you a receipt showing the days remaining on the ticket, so how could I prove that I have 6 days remaining on the tickets?

Maybe there's never been a problem, but I'm still concerned. I know you can ask at the resort, etc. and they will tell you how many days remain on a ticket, but what proof does a ticket holder have?

Re: Disney tracking of days used on ticket...

I've wondered this also. We're trying to figure out what kind of tickets to buy. My daughter will be taking a friend, so we'll be getting her tickets too. I will probably just buy her the length of stay instead of the no expiration. For us, I wondered if we should go ahead and buy the no expiration, if anyone has ever had problems using them later. Something else I was wondering, it's been a long time since we visited, but I thought with park hoppers they were automatically no expiration, I see now that's not the case. Did they change that or am I remembering that wrong?

Park Hopper Tickets bought before 2005 are automatically no expiration.

I've not heard of any problems with the number of days being wrong but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened. If you have the ticket or a copy (always make a copy of your tickets!) of it they can look it up in the computer and I'm sure they can give you the dates it was used. Other than that you really don't have any proof.

Yes, the tickets change a couple of years ago. There are no longer "Length of Stay" passes, you buy a Magic Your Way ticket for the number of days you are there and add what you want to it. You can add the water park option, park hopper option, and the no expiration option. It ends up being cheaper than the old passes if you don't get the no expiration option. I miss the LoS passes but I like that I can pick the options I really want and need.

Re: Disney tracking of days used on ticket...

We have used old tickets that were no expiration and had no problems when going back a few years later. The only thing we do is try to keep a record of how many days are left on a ticket and we also make copies of the tickets so if we would happen to lose them, then we can go back to Disney and get our days back. I wonder if you could go to a ticket booth before you left and confirm how many days are left on the ticket and maybe they could give a print out or something. It's just a thought. Have fun on your trip!!!

Re: Disney tracking of days used on ticket...

I never had any problems with unused days on the older tickets when I would go back a year later and use them. I haven't done this yet with the new type of tickets but at the end of last year (before the prices went up) I bought all of us 10 day non-expiring tickets. We will be using them for the first time next month.
