On a day you go to the MK bring sandwiches and have luch and explore on Tom Sawyer Island. A great relax area for kids and cool for adults.

Some people may not identify with this, but I am a real water snob. I like my well water or bottled water. Sadly, my children have become the same way. SO, we purchased smaller water filled sport bottles (with the pull up lids) and a few gallons of water when we got to Disney (from a grocery store). We refilled them when they were empty and stored them in the fridge in our room. We carried them everywhere. It may seem silly, but yucky water makes us cranky.

ArielBelle, my hairdresser, another Disney fanatic, is the same way about her water. I must admit, I have started having more and more of her concerns about the water.

If anything, taking your own water saves so much moola! ;) :)

I really like this idea (and all the other ones also) !! WE have never seen Tom Sawyer island and never rode the Riverboat either. Guess we'll plan on spending some time over there this year. I also herd that Donalds Boat is a great escape for the kids also.

For some reason my DH and I can't get our DD's to go back to Tom Sawyer's Island. I guess it had to do with one of Florida's down pours. We were stranded on the Island for a while, well, my DD's were all young at the time. So, my DH and I always make a joke out of it, and tell them , ok what about Tom Sawyer's Island??? I guess you can imagine what they say, now that they are all grown. So DH and I do it alone. Not to worry though, they hit Big Thunder and Splash Mt. :dazed JOANN

I don't know if anyone said this yet or not, because I skimmed through most of these wonderful tips (I only have an hour for lunch), but take it from someone who learned the hard way - by all means bring TWO, not one, BUT TWO, pairs of comfortable walking shoes and alternate each day with these, or maybe even if you go back to your room during the mid-day for a break, you can change. I made the mistake of trying to minimize on the luggage capacity, and only brought one pair of shoes for the entire trip. Just looking at those shoes brings back the pain.

TINK61, Always bring 2 pairs of shoes. We learned the hard way one year . My DH and I got caught in a rain storm at the MK, well, my husband swished through DW the next couple of days, because those shoes were just soaked through and through. I guess we should have just went and bought another pair, but sometimes your just not thinking about shoes. 2 pairs of shoes are a must.!!!! That is something everyone should make room for.!!! I know I always bring an extra piece of luggage, just for certain items, and our shoes are one of them. JOANN

If you plan on getting to the park of your choice right when it opens, go directly to the back of the park. Most guests enter a park and work their way from front to back. If you first visit the attractions you want to see at the rear of the park, particularly the more popular ones, you'll find fewer people and shorter lines - at least for a while.

Plan and be flexible, make PS and remember it can't all be done in one day. Pick your favorite things to do and see.

Park Hopper - I'd 2nd that - doing the back first. We did they the first week in March and between 8 - 11 am, we did Dumbo, (get FP to Pooh) Peter Pan, Snow White, It's a Small World, Tea Cups then finally FP for Winnie the Pooh. This was Awesome - but I had it planned.

A small Tip - The fountain drinks are cold, so we get the largest drink with no ice and share.

My tip is to bring lots of water and sodas with you into the park. You can keep them in your bag and even if they get warm, no worries! A WDW Cast Member will be more than happy to give you a cup full of ice. And you won't have to spend $3-$5 every time you want a drink! The best thing to do is go to a supermarket at the beginning of your trip and buy a case of waters and sodas.

Oh, if you have toddlers with you, be sure to bring snacks so they can munch throughout the day! This will save you lots of money!:)

If you are going to a ride with two lines, studies show the left one if usually shorter b/c for some reason most people go right. But if too many people take this advice, you might be better off in the right line.

Dont rush through the parks. Take your time and enjoy everything. You might not get to see everything, but you will love everything you do get to experience, including the "DISNEY MAGIC"

wonderful tips :)

all these are great .. so .. one of my tips would be to copy them all and print them out for future trips :)

I am all about the relax and enjoy the detail and magic all around you at the parks.

and talk to the CM's ..they are sooooo wonderful .. they tell fantastic stories ..some we have heard have been shocking .. remember to thank them when they go that extra bit to help you .. dont blame them because there is a rule they must follow ..they dont make them. If you do run in to a CM that isnt what you except a disney CM to be ..remember ..the person before you may have given them a hard time about something and they need a nice smile and consideration to get thier own magic back :)
