water park with 3 yr old
In July we are staying at POFQ. Was planning on only getting Park Hopper tickets (not plus) since I figured 3 yr old couldn't do much at water parks. Also I've read POFQ has a fun pool for kids. Am I making a mistake in not visiting at least 1 water park, is it worth the money or should I just enjoy the pool at hotel? Having 2nd thoughts especially since it will be HOT in July!:dazed

Personally, I would suggest just sticking with the pool at the resort. The water parks can get packed during the summer, and while the resort pools can as well, at least you won't feel bad about wasting money. The nice thing about PO is that you can use both pools, the FQ pool and the Riverside pool. They are only about a 5 minute walk apart.
The FQ pool is great for little kids. They have a dragon water slide, that you slide out of the dragon's mouth into the pool. The Riverside pool is more like a swimming hole, and is fun. My kids love the resort pools, and they enjoy them as much as the water parks, and it is much easier to take a break in the middle of the day and run down to the resort pool for an hour. You really have to take a good portion of the day at any of the water parks.

This is a tough one. I have two boys and the last time we were in WDW they were 3 (Almost 4) and 6. I went to Blizzard beach withmy teenage nephew and after being there thought it would have been OK for both of my boys to go. It depends on how good your tyke is with the water. If you enjoy splasing around with the little one you can spend time floating on innertube around the park. Some people just feel more comfortable in a regular pool and splashing around with thier kids! The resort pool swould probably less stressful because the water parks can fillup fast!

You probably can just hang around the hotel pool and have a great time. But, if you change your mind, consider going to Typhoon Lagoon. They have a whole section of the water park dedicated to little people like yours. Last July my daughter was 5. She could do some of the bigger kid stuff, but she really had fun at the area for the tikes. They have a minature "lazy river" where the kids can get in small intertubes and float. There are all kinds of sprays and shallow pools too. We had a wonderful time. It's up to you as to how you proceed, but you will not be making a mistake either way. Have fun. :laugh
