Not Theme Park Related...

My boyfriend is bugging me about finding him a 24 hours/or equivelant fitness center in or around Disney. We are staying outside the park, but I never thought about the hotel having a fitness facility. AND IT DOESN'T. We leave Friday, so I have 3 Days to find him a place to work out. I find it not so i,portant on a vacation, but he does. ANY SUGGESTIONS??!! Or do any of the resorts on WDW property alow you to use there Facilities for a day rate??!!:nervous

On property, many of the deluxe resorts have health club facilities, and I believe a daily rate is available, though I am not sure if it is available for guests not staying at the resort. I would suggest calling one of the places and ask. You can contact the health club at the Boardwalk Inn at (407) 939-2370.

One other suggest would be to call one of the spas, either Grand Floridian or the Saratoga Springs Spa. GF can be reached at (407) 824-3000 and ask for the spa and SS Spa can be reached at (407) 827-4455.

Off property, I am sure you could find a local gym that has non-guest rates. As an alternative, you can check out this page which lists all of the Orlange County Health Clubs.

hi mickeychick,
I like to go to the gym 4-5 days a week myself and will be going to disney with my daughter in the next month. I think with all the things to do and see around disney and all the walking (easily 5 miles a day possibly, standing in line, ect...) will be enough to wear me out so i won't even think about going to the gym til i get back home.
But i am sure if you do some kind of search on Yahoo or google you might get a hit (and i doubt if any of the resorts will have a security guard standing at the gym door checking for guest keys to make sure you are really staying there, if there are guards they are by the pool!)
Have fun and don't fret over it. If worse comes to worse take him to Paradise Island to do alot of 16oz curls. laugh

Good one Sneaky Dad!!!

Hi mickeychick,

I think SneakyDad is right, you will be doing a lot of walking and holding on for dear life to get through your vacation. Enjoy!!

I don't know your boyfriends situation, but, did he know that taking a week away from the weight room once in a while actually will help his progress when he gets back to it?
Just a thought....
