I just read the entire article...these paragraphs annoyed me

"And though Disney officials would not say so, they had to feel pretty lucky, too. The Spanglers' picture-perfect, red carpet entrance provided the iconic, kickoff moment for Disney's new promotional campaign and sweepstakes, called "Year of a Million Dreams".
What would it have been like if the random drawing, which drew more than 50,000 entries, gave Disney someone less traditional -- say a winner without children, or with multiple facial piercings or an alternative lifestyle? Walt Disney World President Meg Crofton brushed off the notion, saying Disney welcomes everyone, and its visitors and work force have a great deal of diversity."

Why did that have to be said? Just proves that the media just can't print something nice...always looking for an angle...kinds makes me sick.

I agree- what a ridiculous thing to say. Why do they consider people without children at WDW "non-traditional"? There are plenty of Disney visitors without kids- my brother is childless but visits more than we do (lucky dude lives in Tampa....). Multiple facial piercings? Alternative lifestyles? Is the article implying that a winner who fit these descriptions would have embarassed WDW? Really ridiculous.

And what would prevent a winning childless couple from bringing along a favorite niece and nephew? Grandma and Grandpa bringing the neighbors? I believe the prize is usually for a party of 4. They should be happy the weather was nice and there's been no hurricanes so far.
