Disney In Feb

Ok It's been awhile since I have been on here. Actually had to ask a friend what the new site is. We'll be headed to WDW in Feb for a couple of days around 2/11. Does anyone know if the parks are crowded at this time. It will be between the two race weekends in Daytona, I'm not sure if that effectst he crowd level or not.

I haven't been to WDW since last Nov-Dec. So I'm hoping there are some new things to see.

It's good to be back. I'll be here a lot between now and Feb so, hopefully I'll get to chat with a lot of you. Thanks Chrissy

Welcome back to MB Chrissy.

As long as that is not Presidents week, the crowd levels shouldn't be that high. Schools do let out for a week in February, but it's usually later in the month. I'll actually be in Disneyland that same week and we aren't expecting big crowds there either.

As for anything new since you've last been....well there is something called Expedition Everest at DAK that opened up in April. I'm sure you'll get a kick out of that.

I haven't been on either. My last trip to WDW was in January, but at the time EE was open only to passholders, CM's and others with a special invitation.

There are a ton of MBers that have been on since it opened, and some were on even before that. They'll be more than happy to tell you about all the thrills I'm sure.

Will you be staying in a WDW resort?

Re: Disney In Feb

I was just checking those dates myself.

President's Day is 2/19, and our kids will be on school vacation 2/17-2/25. So it looks like you'll be good on your dates.

Welcome back to MB, Chrissy!

Re: Disney In Feb

Yeah we will be staying on WDW property for a few days. Our motor home will be in Daytona, my husband will probably just want to leave that there. Since we are doing the two weekends of races. I'm not sure which resort yet, but I love to stay on property that's the only way to go if you ask me.

Thanks for the welcome back, I'm sure hoping it isn't crowded during that time. I love to do Disney in the off season. I'm not much for the crowds.

Re: Disney In Feb

It doesn't usually get crowded till Presidents Day weekend and then the crowds gradually build then.

Welcome back!!! Have a great trip!!

What is school off for that week?? WE're not out of school for a week in Feb. I feel left out.

Chris - that's a great week! The weekends might be crowded with passholders, but during the week it will be fine!

EE is new, and have you ridden Soarin? There is also the Nemo ride that's new!

Re: Disney In Feb

We were there around those dates in 2004. The crowds were OK. Peak wait times were about 30-40 for the headliners. We were a bit surprised, it was busier than we thought it would be. We went to the parks early and everything was basically a walk on, but later in the day, it did get crowded. We were there on a Fri, Sat, Sun so I am sure the weekends are busier than the weekdays. My In laws went the weekend before and everything was a walk on. I think the races do affect park attendance. JMO
Have fun you are in WDW!

You shouldn't encounter anything too crazy. The weather is usually just perfect in February for Disney. Have a great time. Oh, and Go Tony!!!!

Re: Disney In Feb

Everyone is forgetting that time of February is the Pop Warner Cheerleader program. Dhouhgton and I both wrote Trip Reports about how misearble these girls can make things. They act like they own the parks. We had interuptions to attractions all week long due to girls standing up in ride vehicles, cutting in lines, etc.

Personally, I would only go back that week if I couldn't go in January.

I ditto this...double check and see if your dates with the Disney's Wide World of Sports Calendar...and then block out that entire time and then the four days before and the four days after...trust me..you'll get a contact high off of the hairspray fumes..

I did not see any calendar with those kinds of events and dates on it.
