Relaxing and Park Hopping
So, now I have a real dilemma.
We're planning on going in a year.... (man, I sound like Dana when I say that... )But, we'll only be in Orlando for 2 full days: from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. DW and I want to see the planned changed to Epcot. DS and I want to ride Expedition Everest, and we have tentative plans to see Osborne lights. One thing for sure, we WILL be having dinner at Portobello's and we WILL see the Holiday IllumiNations. I don't think we've ever done three parks in a day. Can it be done and still enjoy it?

Re: Relaxing and Park Hopping
Im pretty sure it can be if u secure the time right. Make sure u take advantage of EMH's and just be on the run the whole weekend. To be honest I cant do that cause Im with a group who cant ever get up before 8.

The 4 of us get up between 5:30 and 6:00 every morning. And it seems like we've been going at warp speed. I don't see that changing anytime soon. So, I doubt very much that we'll be getting up early during a weekend excursion, so the days will necessarily be compressed. Fortunately, I have over a year to work out the details. ![]()

Re: Relaxing and Park Hopping
Three parks in a day is not that unusual for us. Since we are not trying to do "everything" at each park we often will hit a monring park, and afternoon park, and then end up at EPCOT for the evening.
The only thing that will make your journey a bit more interesting is the AK leg. The transportation is a little tougher to there.

Re: Relaxing and Park Hopping
To be honest, I was going to try to do three parks in 1 day, MGM, MK and Epcot.
I spent 4 hours in MGM, 4 hours in MK, but after all that walking and the heat, I had to head back to the hotel and rest. I probably could have done Epcot, but I was tired. I would never try 3 parks in one day with Miss SMIG

Re: Relaxing and Park Hopping
I think you'll be fine. Do AK the first morning then later in the afternoon go to MGM to see the lights. Next day spend a nice relaxing day/night at Epcot. We did that once and saw everything we wanted to see and do. Have fun!

Re: Relaxing and Park Hopping
Sure it can be done. I think it takes some focus though, its easy to start riding different things or seeing different shows and before you know it the time has slipped away. Pick a few keys things you want to ride then on to the next park.

Re: Relaxing and Park Hopping
Yeah I hate park hopping, I like to just take my time. But I'm running into the same problem for Feb. I want to go to AK and ride EE. And of course ToT and RnRc at MGM. Then you have to visit MK and I'll check out Epcot of course. So I"m thinking 2 parks a day.

Re: Relaxing and Park Hopping
Yes, it can be done. Just go AK first and ride EE, then hop to Epcot and check out the changes....end your day at the lights....rent the car. If you use WDW transportation for a triple hop, you will spend to much time getting from one place to the next. Everyone should pick a few attractions that are must do's for them. Ride them first and the rest is cake.

So, if we get jammed up for time, I might take another cab from AK, or from Epcot to DTD. We won't be there long enough to justify renting a car, but using cabs more would certainly make sense.

Re: Relaxing and Park Hopping
I commend all of you who can do 3 to 4 parks in a day! I don't know if I could do that, being I must see everything and do everything.
Good luck trying to plan!
