Is it crowded or not?

My family and I are planning a trip to disney for Thanksgiving 11/28 to 12/4. This is my first trip back in 20 years. Staying at the Wilderness Lodge. So my question is "How crowded is it"! Some say not so much others say packed. Everyone here is an expert and I am new to this whole scene!! Any thoughts would be helpful!!

Welcome to DisneyCentral. Well, both good and bad news for you. Your first couple of days, through the end of November should be pretty crowded. The crowds should thin out after that, and by Tuesday or Wednesday, it shouldn't be crowded at all.

Welcome to DC mahs1123. You are so lucky to get to go to WDW during the holiday season. Due to my career and distance from WDW it will be a long time before I can take a holiday trip to WDW. Enjoy all of the decorations.

Hey mahs1123...
We went to WDW the weekend after Thanksgiving in 2000. The lines were moderate then and that was before 9/11 and the dropoff in travel. I think you will be pleased. We were in MK on a Saturday and had what I would call moderate waits. The holiday decorations are spectacular!!!:)

WELCOME mash1123! We went for Thanksgiving 2001. It was pretty crowded (Not 4th of July crowded but crowded) Wed, Thurs and Friday. Saturday and Sunday slacked off considerably. As a mater of fact we got to teh parks around 10:30 that Saturday and walked on just about everything from BTMRR, Buzzlightyear, SM and Dumbo etc.... But from what I have seen on my trips to WDW, 3 in the last 3 years, you can never really know what to expect. It maybe packed in the MK but MGM may have a low day and so on.:)

OH YEAH and the hoiday decorations are definilty worth the trip. The WL was beautiful, that was where we stayed.

I went to Epcot the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2002. I was shocked that it wasn't more crowded than it was. The decorations were great. You must see the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. Edward James Olmos was a last-minute replacement for Roy Disney this year. My mother wasn't going to go with me this year, but I dragged her with me when I found out who the narrator was going to be!!(Sorry, got a little off-topic here!!)
