Ok originally we were going to drive down from Cincinnati Ohio to Orlando for our trip in April. But now we have found some good flight prices from Indianapolis to Orlando. $142.09 round trip per person.

So here is what i need your thoughts on...
Originally we were going to check into our resort on Thursday morning and head to Magic Kingdom, with ADR's for the Crystal Palace that evening.

But now we are going to fly down, arriving in Orlando around 4pm. I think that once we get to the resort it will probably be after 6pm. In my opinion i dont think it would be worth using a ticket to get into Magic Kingdom for dinner that night.

Do any of the restuarants in Downtown Disney take the dining plan? We are planning to go to the Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom the day we are there. Should i change that to something else and do Rain Forest Cafe that first evening? Does the Rainforest Cafe at DTD accept ADR's?

I don't know about the dining but I wanted to say that is a great price for April airfare!

You could do Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary that first night. Or you could do Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge!! Both better than the Rainforest Cafe(imho)! They both take ADR's! I am not sure about Rainforest Cafe at DTD tho!! Check the dining guide at WDW.com! Another option is Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club, they however, do not take ADR's, walk up only.

A good majority of the restaurants there are under the dining plan. Earl is one of them. The food is wonderful. And if you have no other plans for DTD Earl is a must.

I just looked at the dining plan on allears.net and it does not look like DTD Rainforest Cafe accepts the Dining plan! Planet Hollywood, Wolfgang Pucks, Earl of Sandwich and the place in DQ accept the dining plan in DTD but I think that is it!! There are alot of places outside the parks that are really great tho!

Is flying cheaper then driving for you? When you think of gas, wear and tear on your car and the stress of driving? If it is cheaper to fly then can you add an extra day to your stay?

Rainforest Cafe is not on the DP (but it is good!) but in addtion to what inluvwithdisney said Raglan Road and Capn Jacks are also on the DP..along with the Portabella..which I think is in DTD>

i knew Rain Forest Cafe wasnt on the dining plan. And we have Rain Forest Scheduled at AK for another night. But since we are not going to go into a park that first night i was thinking that we could do Rain Forest at DTD the first night, and then we can do something else the night we were originally going to Rain Forest. does that make since?

Some of the resorts have good restaurants. I don't know what ADRs you already have but 'Ohana, Chef Mickey's and Wispering Canyon Cafe are all good and a fun way to start a trip.

Hit the Boardwalk - dinner at Spoodles. Then ice cream at Beaches and Cream and walk over to the bridge to catch a view of Illuminations at Epcot.

But then again, we are biased...

I think you should head to DTD and try captn's...bella said she and the dave had a great time there on their honeymoon.

Well 4 of the people we are going with have never been to Rainforest Cafe and they really wanted to try it. SO we are going to head to DTD and eat at Rainforest and enjoy the evening at DTD.
