Anyone done the evening EMH at AK?

Does it go until 8p.m.?

What attractions are open?

Are the crowds larger than normal?

My interest is this will be after dark, and I've not seen AK after sunset. I'm interested in the atmosphere, but if there's not much to do, then I'll skip it.

We did it once. It was quite awhile ago (2003), so I don't remember specifics on what was open, but I do remember that the park was really beautiful (the TOL all lit up was breath taking!).

The crowds were very light, which was a nice change as we were there in August and it was pretty busy during the days

I never thought of AK after dark! We'll have to check that out if we can!

It's beautiful! The lights and things add to the ambience in ways you can't see during daylight hours.

We went in August, so it was still light out at night, but was very calming. We did find that the majority of the stores and food were closed. So, keep that in mind if you were planning on catching some dinner there.

No, not busy at all except the lines at EE. It was great to be able to stroll around, not bumping into everyone. You can soak up the beautiful surroundings so much more. Also, the safari was the best one I've ever been on. We saw so many more animals out and about.

Thanks for asking this question Cavey, and for the reply's. I am thinking about changing our dinner to a late night dinner the day we will be there as I would like to see it at night.

We did Rainforest Cafe for dinner and the EMH at AK. It was great. No crowds, minimal lines. And you get to do EE in the dark. Very cool!! Especially if you ride in the front!!

we are planing to do EMH on december 13th.....really looking forward to it.
i have only been to AK for about 3 hours in 2003, so its going to be one of my highlights.
will let you know how it went when i get home....

Karen....we're going to be there that night too!!!! Keep an eye out for me...I have blonde hair, 5'2", and I'll be hanging out with a 6'2" guy with a buzz cut (hubby), 2-8 year old boys, a baby boy (we've got our own stroller), and my DParents.....
