Our plans so far!

With 11 days left I thought it was time for a summary of our projected long weekend at the World. We're staying offsite, but at a wonderful timeshare with transportation to the parks and plenty to do as well. Since it has a ktichen, we'll also be eating in alot as well, to save money.Y'all tell me what you think!

Plus, Cavey inadvertently inspired me to do this. He's just...sigh...so inspiring!

Freetime = activities, swimming, nature trails at timeshare; dtd; or boardwalk. or whatever else is in town.

Friday:
--Fly into Orlando and check in
--Freetime!!

Saturday:
--EPCOT all day
--2pmish - Rose and Crown
--possibly check in with M&G before the...
--5pm - Candlelight Processional
--Holiday Illuminations

Sunday
--a.m. Church
--meet with family friend (lunch til...?)
--Freetime!!

Monday
--FREETIME!! (we have alot of that don't we? )
--5pmish - MVMCP with mom

Tuesday
--Possibly morning BSF with mom (just five more minutes, ma!! )
--afternoon FREETIME
--6pm - Cirque with parents!!

Wednesday
--catch the noon flight home!

It's just me and my (almost 60 yrold) parents on this trip, and though my dad likes to DO alot and my mom's fee hurt from too much walking, his bedtime can be as early as 7:30 and 8, and my mom loves to relax. I know it seems like we're not doing much but I've contented myself with the fact that we're going at all. Much less at Christmastime!!! So exciting...

Thanks for listening to me gush! We've never had our plans so well laid out before, this is new to me!

Re: Our plans so far!

Oh yeah, resort hopping! I forgot about that.

Kim: we're staying at Orange Lake Resort...I think? It's the one that Gingita is now working at, I beleive! We've never stayed there before, it looks beautiful and amazing, but I'm SURE part of our 'freetime' will be taken up by one of their stupid tours.

Well...my PARENT'S free time. I see no reason why I should go.

In a weird way its kind of nice to be envied about the relaxation and freetime; I thought not squeezing in any Disney-day possible on a trip would shun me!

(Shhhhhhhhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunn-uh.)

Re: Our plans so far!

Screever, where are you going to church. Every trip we say we're going to, but some churches are not the kind of place to show up in shorts and t-shirts (luckily, my home church is). We've looked on-line, but not found anything.

Oh, other than being a protestant service, I don't care about denomination.

River of Life Presbyterian. River of Life - Orlando, Florida - River of Life It's a fairly decent driving distance from the WDW area. (15 mins?) I found this online before my WDWCP term, and we tried it and loved it. Last I was there, it was rather small...50 or so members? Casual setting, a little more loose and less "procedural". I loved it; it spoiled me and made me fall in love with small churches. So yes, I think jeans would be alright. They're a very warm congregation.

The old worship leader (when I was there) was also a Disney animator, but I'm assuming since he's gone now, he didn't get fired and got hired in LA instead. I hope.

Re: Our plans so far!

I wish the minister at the Wedding Pavilion (there has to be one there, right?) would do a quick, casual non-denominational service on Sunday mornings... ,maybe along the beach or something like that!
